About us

The Chinn family owns the business and has operated at Cobrey Farms since the early 1900s. Our substantial family-run agricultural operation grows, packs, and supplies a range of fresh produce to supermarket and wholesale customers from production sites across the UK. Based primarily in the rural Herefordshire, the business has grown significantly through the years and manages premium crops over 3,500 acres of land. The company is famous for producing the highest quality asparagus, green beans, blueberries, potatoes and rhubarb, and there's also a small poultry unit. In addition, the crop rotation supports the harvest of cereals, oilseed rape and herbage seed. The busy on-site packhouse tailors to customer-specific requirements.     ☀ We are hiring☀ Administrator/ PA Cobrey Farms is a leading agricultural and horticultural business which employs over 1200 employees on a permanent and seasonal basis. The business grows, grades and packs a variety of crops for supply into the major supermarkets.   We are a forward-thinking business and wish to expand our team to ensure an efficient administration operation and support to the company partners. We are currently looking for someone to join our team to be the first point of contact for visitors to Cobrey Farms and to work closely with the company partners, providing administration and secretarial support. You will be responsible for ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently and that external enquiries are dealt with in a professional, friendly manner.      Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and needs to be intelligent, approachable and hard working.  Strong interpersonal skills are essential and they will need the confidence to be able to interact positively on an external and farm wide basis. An interest or previous experience working in a farming environment would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be well organised and have previous office administration experience. You will have good IT skills and be a self starter who is happy to work independently. This is a new and exiting role which we believe will suit someone who is attentive and methodical and  thrives under pressure, in a busy working environment. Working Hours: 8 am - 5pm- Monday to Friday.
