Senior members of the team, Michael Hallam and Duncan Campbell attended The Economist Energy Transition Summit in London yesterday as part of Sustainability Week 2025. There were some exciting, engaging and insightful discussions on advancing circularity - a key space that is seeing increased traction in our business and consultancies alike. We particularly appreciated the session with representatives from Currys plc, Pandora and The Royal Mint which provided valuable perspectives on sustainable practices. Today, Director, Daniel Hall and Duncan are in attendence and would love to connect with fellow professionals committed to fostering circularity and sustainability - sharing the ambition to driving meaningful progress in this vital area. #sustainabilityweek #circularity

Where does innovation spring from in your organisation? If the answer is the R&D department or product development lab, then you’re missing a trick, says David A Hofmann in this article for Harvard Business Review. Every corner of the organisation has the potential to make things better than they were before. It’s up to leaders across the board to cultivate an innovative culture that encourages their teams to both think creatively and protect existing value. Like the sports coach that combines attack and defence, leaders can drive growth, without losing ground. Now, more than ever, innovation is a prerequisite to business survival. #innovationculture #growth

Circular innovation is attractive, but it’s risky too. How do you ease these concerns about commercial viability? The key to building confidence is moving innovation forward step by step and demonstrating incremental progress, says Patricia Wyst, head of partnerships at global packaging firm DS Smith. It pays to work closely with partners, she adds. You’re not going to know everything or have full visibility on a new business opportunity, so the right partners can advise and test on your behalf. Patricia shared her experience on circular proposition development at Cognosis’ recent panel discussion. #circularity #innovation #newbusinessmodels

There’s an uncomfortable truth about circularity. We know it’s necessary and and inevitable. The shift to circular business models is set to be the single biggest corporate transformation in the next 30 years. Yet rewiring profitable, tried-and-tested linear models to drive meaningful circular change can also pose huge short-term risks. Where does circularity sit within your current business strategy?

Start this year with Purpose: Innovate or Fall Behind Innovation isn’t optional—it’s the foundation of long-term success. Yet, while 84% of CEOs see innovation as critical to growth, only 6% are satisfied with their results. Why? Innovation is hard. It’s risky, expensive, and prone to setbacks—7 out of 10 new ventures fail. This can lead to cost-cutting, stalled momentum, and stagnation. But those who embrace innovation as a continuous process thrive. With the right culture and support, new proposition development becomes the catalyst for success, creating growth engines that fuel competitive advantage. In 2025, the winners will be those who turn innovation into a habit, not a gamble. The more you innovate, the better you get—and the greater the rewards. https://lnkd.in/ezhWRkXk
