With a £1m investment and a research partnership with the University of Nottingham, Gooddrop is creating a sustainable alternative to traditional cotton farming, using 95% less water and drastically reducing land use. "Our goal is to transform cotton production from field to indoor farming," says Wardle. Six custom research units at Nottingham’s Sutton Bonington Campus will support the scale-up, paving the way for eco-friendly, traceable cotton. The Big Hull and East Yorkshire Sleepout 2024, led by Sean Henderson, will support Dove House Hospice, Hull Homeless and Hull Resettlement Project Limited, and the Hull KR Foundation.     𝐏𝐮𝐛 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 Kelly Lane, a barmaid at the tiny Hop & Vine pub, is celebrating surpassing her fundraising goal for the Stroke Association, with help from regular patrons. She aimed to raise £200 by walking 60 miles in October to honour her 89-year-old father-in-law, who suffered a stroke earlier this year. Thanks to the generosity of pub-goers, she quickly exceeded her target and now hopes to raise even more before the campaign ends in December. "I'm really grateful to everyone who's supported me," Kelly said. Donations can be made at the pub or through her JustGiving page. ABP CEO Henrik Lundgaard Pedersen hailed the milestone, emphasising its role in enhancing UK trade infrastructure and creating hundreds of jobs.
