Helping Yorkshire Businesses Grow

About us

Connect Yorkshire is a not-for-profit organisation that has a track record spanning over twenty years helping Yorkshire businesses grow. We are a unique and exclusive business growth platform specifically formed to help Yorkshire businesses and entrepreneurs grow by learning from the county's most successful entrepreneurs. Our highly experienced entrepreneurs, our Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs), have all founded and built, and many are continuing to build highly successful businesses. We believe that the best mentors for growing businesses are those that have been there and got the t-shirt, have experienced the challenges that you are facing and can offer valuable advice based on their own experiences of growing a business. All of our EIRs give their time and considerable expertise to support growing businesses and nurture emerging talent to help companies prosper, creating wealth, jobs, and opportunities across the Yorkshire region. We have built a supportive community of over 350 like-minded business owners who share challenges, opportunities, and best practices. This is an invaluable environment for like-minded individuals to discuss and resolve issues and help develop their propositions for greater success. We host monthly masterclasses, seminars, workshops, peer advisory boards and networking events on various topics relevant to business growth and development. Whether you are looking to establish or grow a winning sales team, expand into new markets, attract and retain talent or transform your business through innovation, our events will provide you with the knowledge you need to take your business to the next level. Building & Retaining High Performing Teams Masterclass. We are teaming up with our Recruitment Partner, CRSI and Sheffield Hallam University to bring you an event centred around building and retaining high performing teams. This event is proudly sponsored by Help to Grow: Management. One of the biggest challenges for growing businesses is the development and retention of high-performing teams. This involves ensuring organisational design is right as the business evolves, recruiting the right people, retaining valuable employees, and managing underperformers. Given the current economic climate and shifting employee expectations, this challenge is greater than ever. CRSI has worked with hundreds of early-stage, high-growth, and SME businesses across various sectors and economic cycles to design, build, and manage high-performing teams. Drawing on this extensive experience and world-class solutions, we have developed an interactive masterclass for business owners, leaders, and senior managers. In this masterclass, we will cover key areas including organisational design, recruitment, and employee engagement and retention. This masterclass is an interactive session aimed at sharing real experiences. We encourage delegates to share their knowledge, aiming to bring together businesses from across Yorkshire, from diverse industries and backgrounds, for a comprehensive learning experience. Help to Grow: Management is a development course designed to boost the performance and growth potential of your SME. Delivered by business and enterprise experts, the course takes place over 12 modules, taught via a mix of online and face-to-face sessions, alongside peer support and 1-to-1 mentoring. Help to Grow: Management can help support you in building and retaining high-performance teams.
