How to master transformative sales in just one week... The real answer : You can't. Transformation is not a quick fix !! We live in a world that thrives on instant results, the idea of mastering transformative sales in just one week is tempting but simply unrealistic. True transformation is a journey, not a sprint and requires deep reflection, ongoing learning, and the development of new mindsets that fundamentally change how you approach sales. Here's what you should focus on instead to begin your journey : 1) Commit to continuous learning Understand that transformation starts with education. Spend this week immersing yourself in key concepts of transformative sales. Look into what mindsets customers want to see from salespeople (Authenticity, Client-Centricity, Proactive Creativity, and Tactful Audacity) and know that this is just the beginning. Plan how you will continue to learn and evolve beyond these seven days. 2) Begin with self-reflection Use this week to critically assess your current sales practices and mindset. Ask yourself where you stand in relation to the transformative mindsets. Identify your potential areas for growth and start setting goals for how you want to develop in these areas over time. Reflection is a crucial step in the transformation process and it simply can't be rushed. 3) Lay the foundation for long-term change Instead of seeking quick wins, focus on setting the groundwork for sustainable transformation. Establish new habits that will gradually lead to a shift in your approach to sales. This might include regular coaching sessions, practicing new techniques in your sales interactions or finding a mentor/coach to guide you through your transformation journey. -- Transformation in sales is about building a solid foundation that will support ongoing growth and development. While you can certainly start your journey in a week, mastering transformative sales is a long-term commitment that will pay off with perseverance and dedication. Come and join us in The Sales Transformation Forum where the team discuss concepts like this in more detail. Link to join is in the comments below !!

When launching a transformation project having buy-in from the CEO is absolutely essential. The trouble is, they're no more immune to being stuck in their ways than the rest of your team is! A brand new CEO is much more likely to place their trust in a transformation leader. Listen to the full discussion with Carl Day now on The Sales Transformation Podcast. It’s the first part of a two-episode discussion this week on The Sales Transformation Podcast as Phil speaks to Carl Day, Chief Sales Officer at Apogee. When Carl joined Apogee in early 2020 the office print industry was in decline, and Covid only made matters worse. Carl saw that transformation was needed, and began the shift towards a more client-centric sales force. He tells Phil about the challenges he faced communicating the benefits of this new way of thinking to the sales team and to customers alike. Highlights include: [07:40] – The initial challenges to sales transformation at Apogee [12:36] – It’s difficult to shift customer thinking from short-term to long-term [19:40] – The biggest mistake you can make is not training managers how to manage Full episode links: #140 – Transforming sales in a declining market w/ Carl Day Apple: https://lnkd.in/eUGyHajR Spotify: https://lnkd.in/efaD6ysb YouTube: https://lnkd.in/ecdsM6bz
