Training tomorrow’s leaders We are proud of our people at CPC and recognise that their collective abilities, and desire to improve the lives and places of people in local communities, are instrumental in our growth and excellence across the business. That is why we place great importance on investing in our people and fostering their progress through training and development opportunities. This year, we have launched our very own in-house talent development programme, Tomorrow’s Leaders, which is dedicated to nurturing leadership and management skills and empowering our people to achieve their full potential. The programme aims to nurture the individual and collective needs of the participants and the organisation, and hones those talents for both now and the future. ✨ We wish all on the leadership programme the best of luck in the completion of the course. 🔗 Read more about our talent development programme: https://lnkd.in/edhYkm6w Our team has grown exponentially over the last 12 months with a 20% increase in staff numbers and further appointment opportunities in the coming months. 🔗 If you’re interested in working with CPC/LHC take a look at our current vacancies for more information: https://lnkd.in/enJRSAgA #publicsector #learninganddevelopment #progression #socialvalue

📑 Government pledges further devolution across the country 📑 Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Raynor, has pledged to deliver even greater #devolution of power to more regions, including across the whole of the #North, meaning that more than 60% of the country would be covered by a devolution deal. The announcement follows the Deputy Prime Ministers pledge in July to kickstart a ‘devolution revolution’ and the English Devolution Bill which was announced in the Kings Speech. The aim of the next round of deals is to ensure that regions not yet benefiting from greater devolved powers are supported to reach agreements. The plans also include establishing a council of the nations and regions, and the development of local growth plans. Clive Feeney MIoD, LHC’s Managing Director, commented “We welcome the announcement of the further devolution of power which will give greater control and responsibilities to local councils. There has been a strong appetite for more power, especially among local government in the North, for some time which is hoped will close the gap between inequalities in local areas." "Local governments and councils are best placed to act upon specific local issues and make well informed and carefully considered responses to states within their local communities. By working with local frameworks and local SMEs, the devolution will now be a step towards local regeneration and growth.” For more information on our frameworks visit: https://lnkd.in/eQb9XSQz #procurement #frameworks #devolution #publicsector #localauthorities South West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) SPA (Scottish Procurement Alliance) WPA (Welsh Procurement Alliance) Consortium Procurement Construction
