The Lintel Trust recycling container has finally been delivered to the SPA car park. If you have any old clothes or textiles taking up room in your home pop by and drop them off in the container, every tonne collected means £200 donated to the Lintel Trust for use in the community.

Intelligent procurement for homes and local communities
About us
SPA is part of the LHC Procurement Group, which has been supporting public sector organisations with technical procurement for over 50 years. After consultation with a range of stakeholders, the Scottish Procurement Alliance was formed and officially launched in March 2016. SPA is now the largest, free-to-join procurement organisation representing over 100 public sector organisations throughout Scotland, ranging from small Co-operatives, to regional and national RSL’s and Local Authorities. Utilising intelligent procurement solutions can offer more than just competitive pricing. SPA works with its partners and supply chain to promote the delivery of tangible benefits through all projects procured through SPA frameworks. This ensures that benefit is not only enjoyed by those directly involved, but a positive impact is made to the wider community. Promotion of a positive social legacy is fundamental to everything we do at SPA. SPA Office Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:30AM - 4:30PM Friday 8AM - 4PM

📰 The Procurement Act delay and what it means Following last week’s announcement that the upcoming Procurement Act will now be delayed until February 2025, Shona Snow, LHC’s Director of Product Innovation, shares her thoughts on the announcement and what the delay means for the procurement industry. Shona explains how the additional four months gives the market extra time to prepare and align their systems ready for the new requirements and make a smooth transition when the new act eventually comes into force. 🔗 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eY8uckjk We are committed to supporting our clients and the broader public sector, and are well positioned to help navigate the changes. After today our Senior Procurement Officer, Daniella Bryans, goes on maternity leave. Our team held a baby shower for Daniella yesterday to wish her good luck and celebrate her baby's impending arrival. This well-deserved time away is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Daniella and her new family. Everyone in the office can’t wait to meet the baby boy. Daniella is an incredible member of our team and her absence will be felt by the whole office. Although she is irreplaceable as a person and it will take the team time to get used to not having Daniella around for a year, she has left us in good hands. Over the past few months, ahead of going on leave, she has been training Mariann Hughes, who will take on her duties. We wish Daniella and her family all the best and can’t wait to get updates on how she’s getting on!

As part of the Social Value strategy, each SPA staff member has an allocated day and a half to volunteer. John McCollum, Mariann Hughes and Grant Walker decided to use their allotted time to do litter picking in their local area of Bathgate. Big thanks to West Lothian Litter Pickers for the equipment! https://lnkd.in/eF3bPgcs
