The ability to save for a pension is increasingly affected by the life stage your employees are at. New research has shown that 6 in 10 millennials struggle to save for retirement, with income changes and childcare burdens cited as the most common reasons. Education on the value of pension savings is critical, but what else could you be doing as an employer to alleviate financial pressures? Workplace benefits to support working parents, for example, could be invaluable for increasing pension savings. Speak to the team at Corinthian for advice. #Retirement #RetirementPlanning #Pensions https://lnkd.in/e7GEQg3y

According to new research from Royal London, the myth that women are less engaged in pensions has been debunked. However, engagement with pensions doesn't translate into equal pension pots. Their research shows that women at age 55 have an average of 43 per cent less in their pension pot than men, despite parity in pension participation rates. With women living longer than men, their pension pots actually need to be higher and yet caring responsibilities, career breaks and lower-paid roles leave them less well off than men. Speak to Cornthian about ways to redress the imbalance. #Pensions #Retirement #RetirementPlanning https://lnkd.in/erEhZgge

New research from the FCA has confirmed what many employers may already have suspected - emails are an ineffective way of driving engagement with pension provision. Consistency of communication and a range of options to suit your staff (in-person group, 1-2-1s, webinars, etc.) are vital to driving pension engagement. For more ideas on how to increase pension engagement in your workplace, contact the team at Corinthian. https://lnkd.in/e2rtYZV #Pension #RetirementPlanning
