It's day 2 of #TrusteesWeek and there's still plenty of time to get involved! #ThankATrustee 💙 CPSL Mind Trustee, Scott Smith shares why he became a Trustee at CPSL Mind, what expertise he brings to the role and what positive mental health means to him. Reflecting on his experience so far Scott said, “Probably the one thing that I’ve enjoyed the most is just meeting everyone that works at CPSL Mind. We had our away day in the summer and that was one of the first things I did as Trustee, and it was absolutely fantastic to be in a room full of all of the senior leadership team, the other Board of Trustees, volunteers, people who work to different levels of the organisation, and just seeing the amazing work that everyone’s doing and how everyone works together to achieve CPSL Mind’s vision.” Watch Scott’s full interview below 🙂👇 Thank you Scott! #Trustee #Trusteeweek #charitytrustee #charity #interview #content #Trustees

October is ADHD Awareness Month and this year’s theme reminds us that ‘Awareness is Key.’ Amelie from @SafeSoulmates shares some of her personal experiences with ADHD, offering a glimpse into her neurodivergence and how it affects her. Not everyone with ADHD struggles with mental health, but anxiety, depression, substance use and sleep problems are all more common with people who have #ADHD and people with ADHD are up to five times more likely to attempt suicide. Creating supportive and understanding environments can make all the difference. That’s why we’ve adapted our #suicidepreventiontraining for high-risk communities. Our suicide prevention training workshops are designed to equip people with the skills to better understand and support high-risk communities, including neurodivergent. Our workshops will help you to break the silence and stigma, creating safe spaces for people to ask, respond and know what steps they can take when someone discloses they feel suicidal. 🔗Book now: https://ow.ly/astp50TSpFA #ADHDAwarenessMonth #MentalHealthSupport #SuicideIsPreventable

Many of us are affected by the changing seasons, however the colder weather and darker days don’t have to stop you from enjoying nature and finding ways to feel calm. We spoke to Professor Hester Parr, a researcher at the School of Geographical and Earth Sciences at the University of Glasgow, to understand more about Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and in our blog we suggest 7 things you can do to boost your mood 🙂 You can read the blog here 👉 https://lnkd.in/efWYtjhB #mentalheathawareness #autumn #depression #seasonaldepression #mood #wellbeing #nature #outdoors #sunglight #healthandwellbeing #mentalhealth #seasonalaffectivedisorder
