As a Cheltenham Races, 1st timer, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but WOW, what a day. With the excitement building and the drama unfolding, it was definitely an experience to remember…
Curve Workplaces was originally created as a furniture consultancy by Mark Bessant in 2006. In 2016 Michael Potter and Andy Wilkinson joined Curve Workplaces, bringing with them over 40 years of experience in the Design & Build sector and giving Curve the ability to provide clients with inventive design and efficient construction on a turnkey basis. Since then Curve Workplaces has completed numerous projects ranging in size, complexity and budget for a variety of companies across the UK, all with the same purpose in mind; creating environments in which businesses can thrive and achieve their aspirations. Throughout Curve’s evolution the simple philosophy of providing our clients with the very best director led advice, based on decades of experience, has not changed. We consult, configure and construct. Curve have subsequently founded Forum as a stand alone furniture consultancy practice to work alongside Curve as well as their own clients. Another project at York House, Kingsway for Curve Workplaces & Furniture Forum! 👏 Following the acquisition of York House by SG Rocks from CBRE Investment Management, we have been invited back to the building by the new owner to undertake Cat A+ works to the 7th floor. The roll of honour starts with Doron Lavi Segelson and Chen Buber of SG Rocks. The project is being managed by Carlo D'Ovidio and George Gardner MRICS of Constructive (who also provided technical due diligence for the purchase), cost consultancy by Alex Jones and Luke Couchman of Quantem and Quinn Ross as MEP consultant. From our side, Craig Lamden is leading the Curve team, working alongside Chris Wheeley, Alpesh Bhudia, furniture by Forum’s own Jasvir Panesar. Last but certainly not least it is another project with May Fawzy of MF Design Studio Ltd. We look forward to sharing details of the completed project. In the meantime, Robbie Rowan and Oliver Pardoe MRICS of Bluebook (London) are leading the letting on behalf of SG-Rocks.

++++++++++++ EXCITING NEWS ++++++++++++ We have just wrapped up a stunning project for our client Christopher Ward, partnering with Spratley & Partners to design and build their new Headquarters – 10,000 Sq. Ft. at the Yard in Bell Street, Maidenhead. “Curve Workplaces and Spratleys were able to create sight lines throughout the whole building, which still felt really connected even though it is within an open plan environment, it’s actually brought everyone together.” Said Christopher Ward Operations Director - Sammy Benson. “The process of working with Curve went incredibly smoothly. No issue we put forward was either too small or too silly, and we ultimately ended up with something which was better than we could have hoped for,” he added. “I’m incredibly proud of the finished result which the whole project team has achieved” said Craig White, Project Manager at Curve. “It is the small details which matter on a project such as this and we couldn’t have asked for a better partnership with Christopher Ward and Spratleys.” he added. It is a real pleasure to share about another office fit out project completed by Curve Workplaces and Furniture Forum with one of our landlord clients, Sir Richard Sutton Limited, at their beautiful, historic office building on Great Pulteney Street in Soho, London. The focus of our detailed scope of work, was a strip out and fit out to CAT B of first, second and third floors as well as a refurbishment of all areas and cosmetic overhaul to the stairway and landing. Our Head of Design, Ryan Morgan said: “Our Senior lead Designer, Deborah Leach consistently pushes the boundaries of design for every client, every time, delivering nothing short of exceptional quality. Thank you, Debs!" “I'm thrilled that the client's vision has been brought to life to such a high standard, especially on such a fast-paced project." – Jake Gibbs, Project Manager Many thanks to everyone involved – Joel Hallam, Olivia Howard and Louis Braham at Sir Richard Sutton Limited (SRSL), the project team at Furniture Forum and the rest of the team at Curve Workplaces.
+++People Announcement+++ Tomorrow our very own Sam Healy jets off to warmer climes to travel to Australia and the Far East. Not that unusual, but he will be gone for 6 weeks, however, we were more than happy to give him the time off. As Managing Director, Michael Potter MRICS, comments “we have unlimited holiday at Curve providing that it is not 6 weeks at a time! However, when Sam very politely asked if he could go travelling it was a pleasure to say yes. Since joining as a graduate he has worked hard, been promoted and been a real team player. We will miss him but look forward to welcoming him back. At least he will be away when Liverpool inevitably win the league!” Sam said “Thanks to the Curve Workplaces team, I am able to set off on a journey of a lifetime. I asked Michael and Ryan more in hope than expectation as I know how busy we are as a business. Over the last month or so I have helped Ryan put plans in place to make sure that everything is covered so all that remains now is for me to do my 'Out of Office' and pack. Thanks again to everyone at Curve, I am so grateful to be able to take this opportunity.” Have a fantastic time Sam!

What a truly captivating experience, attending yesterday’s Brilliant Minds Showcase Event was. A seriously impressive array of speakers sharing their thoughts, insight and wisdom. Loads of takeaways to remember & just how many overlaps that businesses / teams can encounter. Absolute stand-out was Kevin Sinfield’s talk and thanks to Michel Roux for such a magnificent meal.
