Season Intensity – The [Data & AI] Summer is Coming!
I’ve always loved the term "Tech Intensity" — it perfectly captures how technology is transforming everything we do, with success determined by how swiftly we adapt. As the calendar summer winds down in the Northern Hemisphere and even the astronomical summer comes to a close, I can’t help but feel excited for what lies ahead. For me, the term "autumn" doesn’t cut it — autumn brings thoughts of cold winters. Instead, I see this time as an extension of summer — a period of intensity and growth, where we absorb the trends of the season with full momentum.
This intensity brings with it immense learning and opportunity.
June kicked off with the incredible Data Masterclass Europe and continued with the Data & Analytics Summit (#DAS24 by Uniglobal) in Berlin, where I had the privilege of chairing the event. Beyond the ultra-valuable content, the real treasure was making so many new connections, leading to a deeper understanding of today’s Data & AI landscape, including the daily challenges and opportunities data leaders face.
July kept the energy going with preparations for the launch of #chiefdata.ai, celebrating the release of by book “Data Management Strategy at Microsoft,” and attending the marvel event of the year — CDOIQ Program in Boston. I was blown away by the knowledge shared, the rising importance of CDOs, and how crucial high-quality data foundations are to enterprise AI success. August brought the official launch of #chiefdata.ai, setting me on an exciting new path to scale essential Data & AI knowledge through an AI-powered Digital Twin of the Chief Data Officer. This momentum continued with Microsoft "AI Summer Academy", which perfectly aligned with my use case, reinforcing the mantra “No Data – No AI” and revealing the formula for AI success: AI win = Data + Use Case + Model.
Now, as we move into September through November, the ability to adapt will be truly tested. With a packed schedule of webinars, interviews, and events like Big Data LDN, Data Masterclass, European Microsoft Fabric Community Conference, ai:NOW by CXO Portals, #CDAO Frankfurt by Corinium Global Intelligence and many more, it’s shaping up to be one of the most intense learning and networking periods in recent years..!
The unstoppable growth of AI implementations, driven by the cornerstone value of Data, is transforming decade-old business capabilities into dynamic, personalized offerings. The AI summer is just getting started — technology and human adaptability are converging, leading to thoughtful and responsible AI use that is reshaping the world.
