It’s always a proud moment for any parents when their kids graduate. For me I can’t be any grateful for the amount of time and effort my girls put into achieving their dreams. Andrea Piponides who has become a law graduate achieving a first at York university and @florentia Piponides becoming an English teacher at Queen Mary’s London 👏🏼👏🏼 I took the catering and hospitality road at their age and believe you me … can’t be more chuffed that they didn’t follow my path. For all you that know this trade…. It’s TOUGH! Here’s to them following their dreams 🥂

It was another great Derbyshire Business Networking yesterday (and a hot one!). Skevy Ioannides kindly hosted our group at Mezzo Restaurant and Take Out, this was so appreciated. And many people said "I didn't know this was here" and were pleasantly surprised, especially when they saw the food offered there. Thank you to Liz Horsey, who ran a very thought-provoking session. It was interesting to hear how we need to identify our saboteurs—those negative traits or habits that hinder personal and professional growth. And how it is essential to deal with them for our improvement and success. These included judge, people-pleaser and avoider. Thank you to everyone who came last night, it was lovely to see the regulars and to meet the newbies. I couldn't believe what a diverse mix of businesses there was. And we had a couple of people just starting with their business and it was great to see they received so much advice and support from the group. Thank you to The Conference Works for providing the tech at short notice. We're taking August off and then, we will be back on September 19th, be quick to book as we already have 22 booked.
