Congratulations to David at BCP Council who has completed his #dataprotection and #informationgovernance apprenticeship and received a promotion! He told us that "The apprenticeship has given me a lot of confidence when I give advice to colleagues. "It also it means I can undertake all kinds of work that comes in, without needing to stop and ask for assistance." Find out more about David and his apprenticeship journey: https://lnkd.in/eK_Z5fmn

Apprenticeship training provider – data protection, business, legal, travel, medical, accounting and management.
About us
Damar Training is an award-winning provider of apprenticeship training and recruitment, specialising in business and professional services. Our goal is simple – to help organisations and individuals be the best they can possibly be. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students. We specialise in business and professional services such as law and accountancy. We worked with large employers and sector groups to develop new apprenticeships in legal services and for the travel sector. Although we are headquartered in central Manchester, we work across England with partner-employers across a range of industry sectors. If your organisation employs (or is looking to employ) office staff, then we can add value. Many of the candidates who approach us are school and college leavers but apprenticeships are also for career-changers, people returning to the workplace and existing members of staff who need to develop their skills. There is no compromise on quality – it is simply an opportunity to recruit, mould and develop new and existing talent and help your organisation become more successful. Damar works with large employers who pay the apprenticeship levy as well as with smaller, non-levy paying employers. We are a long-established, privately owned business with a strong heritage, and clear purpose. We are Ofsted inspected (grade 2 – good) and have a direct contract with the Education and Skills Funding Agency. Most of our delivery takes place in the workplace. We have a national team of experienced coaches and 1:1 face to face online learning is complemented by a blend of online workshops, e-learning, activity briefs, and supported self-directed study.

We've been encouraging our apprentices - and colleagues - to re-energise with our January Steps Challenge! And in that time our apprentices have walked a total of 8.5 million steps. 🚶 Well done to everyone who participated and got involved. And a big thank you to David Morley for leading on the campaign.
Final week - 2025 January Steps challenge winner! In the month of January, our students clocked up a whopping 8.5 Million Steps in total - roughly the equivalent of Manchester to Toronto. Huge thanks to everyone who got involved, including our own Damar Training colleagues who got fully into the joys of duck race decision making! Our final week winner was Olivia Shenton, a Business Administration apprentice from Michelmores down in sunny Devon. She said... "The January step challenge has really helped to motivate me to walk around more. I have been taking the stairs instead of the lift and going for outdoor walks in my lunch break – it has definitely made me feel much healthier and happier!" No photo from Olivia, so have one of my beauty and my beast.

Well done to our very own apprentice, Kate who achieved a distinction in her business admin apprenticeship! 👏 Kate has already had a big impact at Damar, working within our Business Support Unit. She has "taken on responsibilities that have helped improve efficiency, such as reorganising filing systems and implementing better tracking processes to benefit the entire organisation". Congratulations Kate! We're proud to have you as part of the Damar team. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/efmsDjFj #apprenticeships #oneteam

Tyler Vint is a solicitor apprentice at an international law firm, having started out as a business admin and paralegal apprentice. Her advice to new solicitor apprentices: "Make sure to jump in head-first and make the most of every opportunity. "You’ve got to allow yourself to be out of your comfort zone to try new things and not worry too much about getting things wrong – just give everything your best shot and learn from your mistakes." Do you have new managers within your business? Management apprenticeships are a great way to develop more effective managers who can engage, motivate and direct their teams. Here is what some of our management apprentices had to say today about our specialist workshops, a unique feature of Damar's programmes. #managementandleadership #leadershipdevelopment #managers
🚀 We’ve received some excellent feedback from our Level 5 Operations Managers after this morning’s workshop on communication. It’s wonderful to hear what they found most valuable and enjoyable! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 'I enjoy hearing about the experiences of peers and how they are managing different situations' 'Understanding the '3 step process' and how to support colleagues to improve was particularly helpful in getting an idea of how the conversation could be held to get the most out of it' 'The breakout groups are so interesting as we get to talk to each other and share experiences' 'Hearing everyone's positive messages' 'Keith is very engaging during the sessions' 🔶 We have cohorts starting throughout the year so please get in touch if you would like to hear more. Our apprentices have logged 3.6 million steps in our Apprentice Steps Challenge! 👏 Over the next few weeks we're encouraging all of our apprentices - and Damar colleagues - to get moving. As Bethan says, a short walk before work or at lunchtime can really help to increase focus and support overall wellbeing. #wellbeing #damarsteps
Damar Training 2025 Apprentice Steps challenge! So far our students have logged 3.6 Million steps collectively! Each week 1 participating student is drawn at random to win a voucher of their choice - this week it was Bethan Garratt from Ward Gethin Archer over in Kings Lynn! Bethan said... "The STEPS challenge has reminded me to take some timeout of my day to destress, keep moving and give myself a mental break away from work! Even if it is 20 minutes at lunch time, this helps keep my mind clear so I can focus in the afternoon!" Can we make it to 5 million this week??? #wellbeing #herecomesthetopstepper
