  • The King’s Speech marks a momentous occasion for UK businesses with the inclusion of two Bills particularly important to our industry: a Digital Information and Smart Data Bill and an AI Bill. A focus on growth within the King’s Speech is a welcome sign of a proactive strategy to support UK businesses. The DMA strongly supports the inclusion of a Digital Information and Smart Data Bill that reforms data protection regulation. This Bill will enable data to flow more freely, reduce administrative burdens on businesses, and balance innovation with privacy.
