And at last month's all agency meeting they had the whole agency turning detective and working together to solve a 'crime' AKA a business challenge. With a dramatic crime mystery, they showed us how top-notch analysis and a CX-led approach come together to give our brands the strategic justice they deserve🕵️

The #ASCO2024 Annual Meeting, themed ‘The Art and Science of Cancer Care: From Comfort to Cure,’ showcased various innovative advancements in oncology, emphasising both scientific breakthroughs and the profound human impact of cancer care. Key highlights from the recap by John Hennessy (The Principal at Valuate Health Consultancy, an OHG Company) include: 1. Amplifying the Patient’s Voice: This year saw a significant representation of patient voices, emphasising the importance of patient trust and quality of life alongside traditional metrics like overall survival. Discussions highlighted the need to ensure the inclusion of all patients, especially those who could not attend due to economic or health reasons. 2. Young Voices in Oncology: Young investigators and professionals were particularly impressive, contributing to the advancement of patient care and the broader oncology field. Engagement with these future leaders is crucial for continued innovation and progress. 3. Innovation in Care Delivery: Innovations ranged from large-scale therapeutic advancements to smaller, impactful methods. Notable developments included a groundbreaking infusion device for home-based therapy and models for remote patient monitoring, enhancing care accessibility for underserved areas. 4. Harnessing Data for Early Diagnosis: Efforts to utilise existing data to accelerate early cancer diagnosis were highlighted. These initiatives aim to identify cancers at earlier stages, offering significant potential for improved patient outcomes. 5. Revolutionising Cancer Treatment with Personalised Testing: Advancements in personalised testing and diagnostics were featured, focusing on tailoring treatments to individual patients to ensure the most effective therapy with manageable side effects. 6. Broad Clinical Team: The importance of a comprehensive care team, including pharmacists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, social workers, and therapists, was emphasised. Effective communication and collaboration among diverse care team members are essential for optimal patient outcomes. These insights from the #ASCO2024 Annual Meeting highlight the ongoing evolution of cancer care, driven by both technological innovations and a deeper understanding of patient needs.
