Do you want to help #UKdefence shape how Test and Evaluation (T&E) is delivered? The MOD has established a T&E Transformation Programme to review how future T&E will be delivered. As a part of this activity, Defence Test & Evaluation Services (Future) (DTES (F)) will be hosting an Early Market Engagement event (EME) on 12 September 2024 where industry representatives will be invited to help shape the requirement and explore how innovative new technologies can improve and enhance current capability to enable T&E for military advantage. For further information and to register your interest in attending the EME event, please follow the link below. Doing Business with Defence: helping suppliers access opportunities and innovation in the Defence supply chain
About us
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is one of the biggest public procurement organisations in Europe and the UK industry’s largest single customer, managing some of the most complex and technologically advanced requirements in the world. In 2019-2020 we spent around £21 billion with over 16,000 suppliers, accounting for almost 40% of all UK Government procurement spend and representing one of the biggest defence budgets in the world. We advertise all our MOD procurement opportunities over the value of £10k on the Defence Sourcing Portal. You can register and view all the UK MOD opportunities free of charge. We work closely with a number of major suppliers to ensure delivery of the defence programme on large and complex projects. Around 75% of our procurement opportunities exist within our supply chain. We host a series of MOD Doing Business with defence webinars which are advertised on the Defence Sourcing Portal homepage under ‘announcements’ and available via our procurement hub. We want to attract new and non-traditional suppliers into Defence and also promote access to funding and support for innovation through our communication channels. Follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter @defenceproc for information including webinars, announcements and opportunities.
