Partnering with the The Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub, we have kicked off our STEM and Digital Bursary in Lancashire. This exciting initiative for 16-18 year olds will help create a digital and cyber workforce fit for the future. 💻 The first cohort of 100 students will have access to a broad range of mentoring and development opportunities, including digital learning, as well as financial support and a high-performance laptop. 👥 At the kick-off event in Blackburn, the students heard more about cyber careers, met experts from across government and industry, and took part in a code-cracking challenge and a cyber escape room. 🇺🇦 Our support of Ukraine is absolute. Operation Interflex is the largest military training operation on British soil since the Second World War. It sees recruits from Ukraine with no previous military experience complete five weeks of training to prepare them for conflict, ensuring they have the skills they need to defend their country. This includes weapons handling, battlefield first aid, Law of Armed Conflict training, patrol tactics, rural environment training, mine-clearance, and trauma response. 🇬🇧 Working with 12 partner nations, and with expert coordination from our Permanent Joint Headquarters, over 40,000 Ukrainian soldiers have now been trained in the UK. Op Interflex helps Ukraine to build their forces and scale-up their resistance as they continue to defend their nation’s sovereignty. This work continues as we #StandWithUkraine.
