About us
Dementia Pathfinders Community Interest Company is a new enterprise aiming to deliver therapeutic care and support for people with dementia and their families, and programmes of education and learning for people working in the dementia care field. - Working in Partnership We seek to build partnerships with individuals and groups working to understand and meet the needs of people with dementia. We have partnerships with academic institutions, independent providers of services and public sector organisations in health and social care. We use our networks to publicise pioneering work which is being done locally and on a small-scale, so that we can all learn from the excellent work of committed innovators. - Representing those at the Heart of Dementia Care We aim to give a voice to people with dementia, and friends and family members who support them, keeping these people at the heart of everything we do at Dementia Pathfinders. We also represent the perspectives of everyone working in the field of dementia care, particularly those in the frontline of care work, whose experiences and contributions are rarely articulated. - Finding New Ways to Support People with Dementia At times along the journey through dementia, it can be hard to find the right path. We want to help map the journey and develop ideas for living well with dementia, particularly in the early stages where little presently is offered.
