💡REGISTER NOW!💡 Join Dementia Together on Wednesday, Oct. 23rd in Estes Park for our annual educational symposium, Living Well with Dementia! 💙 Join us to discover practical strategies to promote lifelong well being for those walking the dementia journey. The symposium will feature an educational session introducing the SPECAL method, a UK originated, evidence based family driven model for dementia care. We will also have a session on compassion fatigue and a care partner panel. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the symposium. Registration is open until October 21st. An opportunity for care partners’ loved ones with dementia to attend a memory cafe social during the event will be offered to the first 15 registered Estes Park residents. Registration with key information must be completed by October 16th, so that the memory cafe activities can be customized to each person’s needs and interests. Dementia Together’s Monthly Meal Drops were created as a way to relieve our participants of having to make a meal and provide the reminder that no one has to walk the dementia journey alone. Every month, Dementia Together partners with a local restaurant in Northern Colorado to purchase meals and our gracious volunteers help deliver these meals door-to-door to our participants, free of charge. 💙 Keep an eye out for next month’s meal drop! Our participants who are caring for a loved one can sign up to receive a meal at no charge from a local restaurant.
