Join us at Department for Light Night Leeds! 🌟 I've teamed up with Francesca Bundey and Clifford Stead to produce SLIDESHOW - an exhibition of vintage photographs showcasing Leeds from the 1970s to the 1990s. The photographs will be accompanied by a bespoke audio track using field recordings that evoke the city’s past and present - held in our brand new Cinema! I've attended Light Night every year since I moved to Leeds in 2017 and I'm so excited to be contributing to the festival this year. Producing an event for Light Night this year feels particularly special as it is the 20th Anniversary of Light Night Leeds! So come visit us down in the South Bank Zone and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Light Night with our homage to Leeds! We're excited to announce the opening of Department Creative at Leeds Dock – a brand new open-plan space designed for creatives to work freely, and bring your projects to life. Whether you're a painter, photographer, textile maker, or anyone who needs room to create, this is the space for you. Join our open day on Thursday 12th September from 12pm. Department Creative will be housed a stone's throw from Department's main workspace, in West Dock by the waterside. Get set up for the day to see how the space fits your creative flow. Yesterday marked the final day for Cohort 7 of our Exchange Programme, wrapping up an incredible 6 months for our early-stage tech founders.
