✨ Really engaging talk hosted by Stephanie Irwin last night at Soho House & Co - great to be joined by my awesome panel-mates Jamilah Jaffer (Founder of Vite ) and Sam Ducker (Co-Founder of Anyone ☎️ ) We discussed the realities of getting your app-based idea off the ground - particularly how founders can get started with limited resources or how to test ideas (to make sure they’re actually good ones 🤪). I spoke about how measuring, and doing things that don’t scale were key to us hitting 100,000 downloads globally with our dermie.AI by Base Plus beta. 2023, thank you! 🫱🏼🫲🏽 In 2023, at Niyo Group we streamlined, we strengthened our systems and processes, we welcomed strategic advisors (announcements coming soon), we built tech products. We set our foundations for the coming years! Some of my Key Professional Highlights ✨ - I became an Ada Ventures angel and invested in dermie.AI by Base Plus - I gave my first TED Talk thanks to TEDxAstonUniversity - I separated Niyo Hair and Beauty & Niyo Bootcamps as two entities, setting us up to organically grow into our group vision at the right time. Began conversations of setting up the group structure with legal and finance professionals - Registered Niyo Group in Nigeria ( we now have 6 members of staff operating from there. We plan to grow this capacity in 2024) - Spoke at London Tech Week - We continue to change the lives of black women through Niyo Bootcamps. Thanks to companies like HSBC who made this worthwhile - Niyo Hair and Beauty started working on a technology called Jora and we built the first AR/AI salon for textured hair in the world - We started building Niyo Bootcamps SAAS edtech platform (Launching Private Beta this month to the Bootcamp community 🚀) - Started a research project for Niyo Hair and Beauty led by Dami Folayan backed by Innovate UK , more to come soon 🔜 2024 wouldn't be about doing anything new but being HYPER FOCUSED on our bottom lines and breaking into new regions. Optimistic about the year ahead as Niyo Group companies become innovative tech companies. 🚀
