🔑 DesignBuilder's Flexible Licensing for Maximum Value Choosing the right licensing option can make a significant difference in how efficiently you and your team work. DesignBuilder offers a flexible, modular approach, providing excellent value and allowing you to tailor your licences to your specific needs. 🌐 Site Network Licences are better for organisations with multiple users. They provide a cost-effective and convenient way to share licences across networked machines. Managed via a central server, the site licence enables users to access DesignBuilder modules as required, optimising resource use across teams. Different numbers of seats can be added for each module, maximising value when a larger team has many users running standard simulations and fewer people using DesignBuilder's more specialist modules. 👤 Single User Licences are better for individuals or smaller teams. They offer the best value at low licence volumes (typically less than about 5 users) whilst still retaining flexibility and convenience. DesignBuilder can be installed on multiple computers, and access can be quickly and easily transferred between users. Whether you are an individual or a small or large team, DesignBuilder's flexible and scalable licensing options ensure you have access to the right tools at the right time. Please contact us (sales@designbuilder.co.uk) if you would like to explore the DesignBuilder licensing option that best fits your needs. #DesignBuilder #Teamwork #Licence

🏢New Case Study: First Steps to LEED Success in Mauritius Ecolution Consulting used DesignBuilder to complete their first in-house LEED modelling project for Bagatelle Exclusives, a Shell and Core office building in Mauritius. High-performance glazing, efficient lighting, and a roof-mounted PV array contributed to a 33% energy improvement, earning 14 points for the 'Optimize Energy Performance' credit and a LEED Certified rating. Our latest case study describes how Ecolution used DesignBuilder’s LEED/ASHRAE 90.1 tools to enable a swift and successful completion of this project. It provides a valuable example of the modelling workflow for a Shell and Core LEED project. A link to case study is provided in the comments below ⬇️ #DesignBuilder #LEED #CaseStudy

📢Free Webinar: Next Generation Parametric Tools for Evidence-Based Design Decisions Register here: https://lnkd.in/d_DBCpPp (Wed, Mar 12, 2025) Best practice energy modelling processes such as ASHRAE Standard 209 and CIBSE TM54 recommend undertaking design optimisation or scenario assessment to support data-driven design decisions. However, traditional manual iteration methods for exploring these scenarios can be time-consuming and inefficient. DesignBuilder provides a set of next-generation Parametric tools that streamline design exploration, enabling you to quickly and efficiently evaluate different options as part of an evidence-based approach to design decision-making. This webinar will review these capabilities and discuss: 🔹Best practice performance modelling with DesignBuilder Parametrics. 🔹Key concepts in Parametric, Optimisation, and Sensitivity Analyses. 🔹Selecting the right tool(s) for a range of important applications. 🔹Case studies incorporating parametric tools for efficient design decisions. Each of these parametric tools answers a specific design question. By combining them strategically in your workflow, you can optimise building performance and deliver greater impact for your clients. In the webinar, in addition to selecting appropriate design options, we will discuss the use of these tools to optimise controls, test for future climate, and support risk assessments in performance contracting projects. ⬇️ You can register here to attend the live webinar this Wednesday, March 12th, or to receive a recording after the event: https://lnkd.in/d_DBCpPp #DesignBuilder #Optimisation #Webinar

🔊 Free Webinar: Next Generation Parametric Tools for Evidence-Based Design Decisions Register here: https://lnkd.in/d_DBCpPp (Wed, Mar 12, 2025) Our upcoming webinar will introduce Next Generation Parametric Tools that allow fast, easy, and evidence-based design decision making. One of the tools it covers is Sensitivity Analysis, which identifies the design variables that have the greatest/least impact on the key simulation results. It assesses the impact of assumptions and uncertainties in inputs on the simulation outputs, thereby providing guidance on how to mitigate underperformance risks. Best practice energy modelling guides like ASHRAE Standard 209 and CIBSE TM54 already recommend assessing scenarios and optimising the design. The parametric tools enhance and compliment the efficacy of these best practice modelling workflows. The webinar will discuss the concepts and application of Sensitivity analysis, Parametric, and Optimisation tools. Besides the typical application of selecting appropriate design variables, the webinar will discuss use of these tools for optimising controls, future climate testing, and even supporting risk assessments in performance contracting projects. 🗓️ Register here (https://lnkd.in/d_DBCpPp) to attend the live webinar on Wednesday, March 12th, or to receive a recording after the event. #DesignBuilder #SensitivityAnalysis #Webinar

🤝A real highlight of the Elmhurst Energy Conference recently was the many interactions the DesignBuilder team had with our customers. Paul Holden, a Director of Carbon Profile Ltd, was one that stood out. He gave a presentation that included innovative approaches to UK compliance using DesignBuilder. Paul showcased a large model – shown in the post image – comprising two towers sharing a double basement with different ground/air adjacency conditions. The complex geometry and the large number of zones meant Paul’s team were able to leverage the flexibility of DesignBuilder’s advanced features. One example of that was to split the model into appropriate parts to improve the accuracy, speed, and ease of their modelling workflow. In our conversation with Paul, he said “Choosing the right software platform is important. We use DesignBuilder because our experience has shown that 3D modelling always improves quality and QA-checking, and it enables us to visualise the model and potential improvements with clients and engage with the design and engineering communities sharing building data and geometry. DesignBuilder’s fully integrated interface and the ability to switch between Certification and more detailed (non-NCM) analysis allow us to leverage the same model for added-value work with much less time and effort. DesignBuilder makes it so much faster and easier to provide additional services for our clients e.g. switching the base UK Certification model to dynamic simulation for compliance with TM52/59 for summer overheating, or TM54 for operational energy analysis. The ease of modelling in DesignBuilder also gives us the confidence to suggest novel approaches to our clients for their innovative projects.” Our thanks to Paul for sharing his thoughts. If you wish to showcase your projects in this way, please contact info@designbuilder.co.uk and one of our team will be in touch! #DesignBuilder #BuildingSimulation #Testimonial
