Happy Black History Month! ✨✨✨ In the spirit of the theme this year, Reclaiming Narratives, we were delighted to host Romain Muhammad who ran a brilliant session on the topic, delving into parts of British history that are often untold and demystifying narratives about Black representation and slavery over the centuries. The session was an insightful overview of how censorship plays a part in the way we perceive Black history in the UK and the importance of challenging these misrepresentations and omissions. Romain also explored how this plays out through the lens of social mobility, and the impact of how by omitting important parts of history, we may have amplified some of the narratives around misogyny and the patriarchy that we are unpicking today. Thank you to Halyma Begum Assoc CIPD and the fabulous team at DIAL Global for facilitating this for us, and our fabulous learning team Neal Dix, Hanna A. and Nicola Robinson for creating the platform for important conversations such as these. For me personally, this session left me reflecting on the power of stories, and telling them accurately so the future generations have a more accurate view of life today. It's a reminder about the importance of creating an inclusive society, where powerful and influential Black role models are not erased from our history books in the future. It also reminds me that it's never too late to re-learn history, and the importance of openness, curiosity and courage in creating platforms for others to do the same. Romain Muhammad, thank you for your important work. We have been incredibly privileged to receive from it! 👏 👏 👏

Diversity at its best, when it truly is Inclusive 💚🌈☺️ Had the upmost pleasure to join the launch of the 2024 DIAL Global review on Diversity, Equity, Belonging, Inclusion & Culture (DEBIC) on Monday, at the Yahoo Studios in London. 🌎 It was awesome to see the vision of Leila McKenzie-Delis 💃🏻 come to life, in a series of panel events, awards and recognition, conversations and insights within a community of leaders and engaged DEI individuals 🫶🏽 Fantastic to see Claire Parker, Christophe DALBY and many JLR DE&I team members taking part and supporting the event, to hear about the many ways this important topic is developing across industries. 🌈 Humbled by the opportunity to speak to so many like minded leaders who understand the importance to share their experiences and reflect on the need for change, to address systemic challenges. 😇 I was in awe of Lord Simon Woolley for his heartfelt words of encouragement to the room, for being change makers, to not stand by as the world moves on… but to listen, be empathic and demand action where it’s clear that change needs to happen 🫱🏼🫲🏾🌎 Look forward to continuing to be part of the movement within JLR, to embrace the cultural journey and strive for a society where work & life balance in all aspects… 💚 Well done to the whole DIAL Global team for such an inspirational event 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 #jlr #diversityequityandinclusion #InspireInclusion #inspirationalleadership #movethedial #unity #integrity

"How do leaders show up for colleagues in this challenging geopolitical landscape?" This was one of many nuggets I heard on Monday at the DIAL Global annual review in London. Thank you to Leila McKenzie-Delis 💃🏻 and the fabulous team for a great event and to you Leila for pushing the dial and inspiring so many CEO activists 🙏🏽📚 Other things that stood out... Roselyn Cason-Marcus on the importance of sponsorship ABOVE mentorship and also using our difference as a career accelerant rather than a barrier - what a reframe 🙃 Claire Parker on the importance of investing in ERGs and the amazing work that JLR networks are doing in galvanising the wider business for change 🌍 Suresh Balaji on his journey to becoming an ally Winnie Annan-Forson, Karen McKay and Sarah Deeks-Osburn gave us such a masterclass on how to deliver comms and real change when it comes to inclusion by talking about the Royal Mail campaign to address problematic workplace behaviours like sexual harassment, racism and bullying Lord Simon Woolley gave us some 'serious' words of encouragement. We ned to keep pushing for change 🙏🏽 This work can feel relentless It can feel like you're getting nowhere But you / we are not alone Events like this remind me of that #Inclusion #DIALGLobal

This was my level of excitement seeing so many of our DIAL Global Members & Clients at last night's DIAL Global Review Event at Yahoo! I did over 10,000 steps just in the Yahoo Studio between 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. yesterday, and my feet are feeling it today. But I enjoyed speaking to so many people, and most of all, as someone passionate about diversity, equity, and belonging, I enjoyed listening to and learning from all the great speakers we had the privilege of having on the Panels, including Lord Simon Woolley! CEO & Founder DIAL Global (Diverse Inclusive Aspirational Leaders) 🌎 Neurodivergent entrepreneur 💁🏻♀️ 2x Author📚 Futurist✨ Researcher🔬 Thought Leader 🧠 Host of the CEO Activist podcast 🗣️+ D&I Leaders Podcast🎙️

Simply overjoyed by the success of yesterday’s launch of the 2024 Dial Global Review 🥹 🙏 Firstly, I’d like to say thank you to everyone in attendance. To see so many people in our community there, contributing to what was a day full of shared learnings, was so gratifying. 🫡 Secondly, thanks to our wonderful speakers and panellists. You provided genuine value and I was genuinely awestruck to be speaking alongside such trailblazers. 🌍 And let’s not forget the DIAL Global members. It is your investment in us which gives us the resources and purpose to carry out meaningful work like our annual reviews, and to you I am indebted for the passion with which you collaborate with us. 🫵 Next: all of YOU, reading this. My LinkedIn community are a huge part of what I do; your engagement continues to drive me to build my business in public and continue to push for meaningful change in the DIBEC space. Your support means so, so much. 🏆 Penultimately, a huge congratulations to all of our award winners! It was a true pleasure to be able to very publicly champion the people who are making a real difference when it comes to creating a more inclusive and equitable world. Without this collective push, we’d never get anywhere. ❤️ And the final word goes to my incredible team. Running a business is hard and it’s often easy to get swept up in the day-to-day carnage. The way they support me, the way we navigate challenges together, the dedication they have to what we do…it’s a rarity that I’m lost for words, but in this case, I am. I can’t quite express just how much gratitude I have for these people. Now? Time for a bit of a rest. Yeah, right. It’s full steam ahead for the U.S. launch of our 2024 review on 10th October at the New York Stock Exchange! Let’s do this 💃🏻

Wow what a great launch for the latest DIAL Global Review, and the insights are truly eye-opening! The expert panels shared some of the amazing work being done by their progressive and innovative organisations which was humbling, we could all be doing more! Some key takeaways from the event: * Diversity leads to innovation, companies with diverse leadership are outperforming their competitors. * Inclusive cultures drive better business results, colleague satisfaction, and retention. * Belonging is becoming more critical in shaping future workplaces, ensuring everyone feels they can thrive. * It’s not easy, you’ve got to dedicate time and resource to do it properly and for the right reasons, not a tick box exercise! I couldn’t be prouder of the amazing work that my friend Leila McKenzie-Delis 💃🏻 and her team at DIAL Global are doing to shift the dial on all things diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Their relentless dedication is truly making a difference for organisations and their colleagues. Congratulations Leila and Team DIAL 👏🏻 #Diversity #Inclusion #Belonging #Leadership #FutureOfWork
