About us
Digital Somerset is an exciting movement made up of individuals and businesses, passionate about ensuring Somerset becomes a hub for digital innovation and collaboration. The aim is to create a culture which celebrates and encourages innovation and change, putting Somerset on the map for the digital industry. Through a mixture of free events and resources, driven by a network of passionate, local businesspeople, the team are connecting and upskilling professionals around the county. A key driver is to support businesses in attracting and retaining exceptionally talented individuals within the area, as well as facilitating collaboration, engagement and conversation. Our work hopes to create more powerful and disruptive technologies, increasing revenue, profit and employment – securing the future of businesses all over the county and beyond. Digital Somerset is the largest and fastest-growing group in the area. It has hosted eleven sell-out events with over 100 people in the last year, with even more turning into the live stream at home.

As a long-time friend of Digital Somerset, Kate never fails to deliver thought-provoking insights and this session was no exception. 🌟 We enjoyed listening to Kate talking about the impact of the Brave AI Project, currently being implemented in Somerset, which is designed to analyse patient records and predict the likelihood of hospital admissions within the next 12 months - the outcome of the project could offer huge operational savings, while improving patient experiences. Among other topics, Kate went on to talk about the evolution of AI from its current generative state to agentic and robotic process automation, which is anticipated as early as 2026 or 2027.
