THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE REGENERATIVE TEXTILE STANDARD TO DATE! The first standard, the dye standard, has been completed! Ever wondered where the dyes in your clothes end up? 🌊 They mainly run off into any available water body, polluting the largest carbon sink on our planet and destroying life beneath the water. We need to keep our beautiful rivers, the veins of the earth, clean from toxic chemicals. And our newest dye standard is helping us do exactly that! The complete ten Demeter Textile Standards for fashion’s raw materials include: 🌱DYES 🌱COTTON 🌱SILK 🌱WOOL 🌱LEATHER 🌱TREE FIBER 🌱BASTS (linen, flax, hemp) 🌱FEATHERS 🌱CASHMERE 🌱MUSHROOM LEATHER. 📣 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 DIRT Charity wins the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Climate Action Award 2024 for the creation of the ten new Demeter Textile Standards for the fashion industry! We are overjoyed to be recognized globally by The National Chamber for Italian Fashion for creating these new textile standards, which focus on the production, processing, and disposal of textiles in a regenerative way. DIRT Charity, together with Biodynamic Federation Demeter International have embarked on a journey to create Ten New Certifications and raise the standard within the fashion industry. They will be fashion's highest standard, encompassing raw materials such as:  🌱DYES 🌱COTTON 🌱SILK 🌱WOOL 🌱LEATHER 🌱TREE FIBER 🌱BASTS (linen, flax, hemp) 🌱FEATHERS 🌱CASHMERE 🌱MUSHROOM LEATHER This recognition highlights the importance of driving the fashion industry towards a regenerative and sustainable future, helping us achieve our mission of using fashion’s sourcing power to support soil regeneration and turn fashion into a climate solution.
