I am using this opportunity to share a blog which I submitted as a finalist of the Young Economist of the Year competition which might help future students entering the competition. This year we answered the question "What are the arguments for and against a one off cost of living payment for all individuals" This is a little snippet of a piece of work that I'm proud of and wanted to share with you all. Writing this blog was a rewarding experience, allowing me to dive deep into economic concepts and express my unique perspective. It was a pleasure conducting the Discover Economics Student Champions training on behalf of Discover Economics this afternoon! We welcome 21 new student champions from various Universities including City, University of London, Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, University of Surrey and University of Bath. Thank you to the Discover Economics team Sarah Smith, Laura Harvey and Sam McLoughlin for trusting me in delivering this session. As an Academic Champion, I am always happy to support Discover Economics in its mission to increase diversity in economics. By training student champions and sending them into schools, Discover Economics aims to showcase the diverse career opportunities in economics, change perceptions and challenge stereotypes around economics studies and profession, and inspire young students to pursue Economics at A-level and university. Bangor Business School inspires next generation of economists at inaugural conference.  Bangor University’s Business School, in partnerships with the Welsh Government and Discover Economics, hosted its first-ever Economic Conference on Thursday, 24 October, drawing students from across North Wales to explore the vital role economics plays in shaping the world.
