  • Join me on Tuesday 12th November for an intensive session on actionable diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) change. Gain insights on your organisation's DEI strengths and weaknesses, develop a personalised action plan with timelines, and build accountability with a peer. Harness the power of shared knowledge through insightful discussions, fostering a culture of empathy and inclusion. Leaders attending will be empowered to drive tangible DEI change in a way that stakeholders and service users will feel through the following: 1. Strategic Focus on Impact: The session starts by helping leaders gain a clear picture of their organisation's current DEI landscape. This allows them to identify areas where improvements can be made that directly affect stakeholders and service users. By focusing on developing personalised action plans with timelines and ownership, leaders move beyond awareness training and translate their DEI vision into concrete steps that will impact service delivery. 2. Building Empathy and Understanding: The fishbowl discussion, a core element of the session, exposes leaders to differing perspectives, sharing ideas and challenge. Leaders will be encouraged through the workshop to foster empathy and in doing so, participants will move towards designing DEI initiatives based on real needs, not assumptions. It is only in understanding these needs that leaders will truly start to develop inclusive policies, communication strategies and service delivery models that directly benefit stakeholders and service users. 3. Accountability and Sustainability: The session fosters accountability by encouraging leaders to create action plans with ownership and partner with a peer for support. The peer-to-peer approach is designed to create continuous journey beyond the workshop, where plans are more likely to be implemented – leading to a lasting impact. In focussing on tangible actions and by holding each other accountable, leaders ensure that DEI becomes a core value embedded within the organisation, creating a sustainable shift that stakeholders and service users will experience over time. Through this multi-pronged approach, the session empowers leaders to move beyond rhetoric and translate DEI principles into tangible actions. This, in turn, leads to a more inclusive organisation that better reflects the needs of its diverse stakeholders and service users. This translates to a more responsive, effective, and impactful charitable or voluntary organisation. This isn't just about awareness; it's about tangible change that your community and stakeholders will feel. Reignite and be equipped to drive positive impact. Leadership is often equated with authority and power, but we think that the true essence of effective leadership lies in a surprising trait: humility. Hira Ali, an advocate for inclusive leadership, emphasises that humble leaders create environments where collaboration thrives, innovation flourishes, and teams feel valued. In the webinar, "What women of colour in the workplace need from their managers", we delved into the profound importance of humility in leadership, exploring how embracing this quality can transform not only individuals but also entire organisations. By fostering humility, leaders can cultivate trust, inspire loyalty, and drive meaningful change, ultimately creating a more engaged and productive workforce.
