Rochelle Murinas explains the 13 key updates to the Employment Rights Bill - https://lnkd.in/eQ7VnG5W After plenty of speculation, we now know what changes Labour plan to make to UK Employment Law. There’s a lot to unpack (158 pages worth, to be specific), but the good news is that our partners at Innov8 Human Resources have reviewed the bill in detail and are here to help guide you through the updates. It’s clear there are significant changes to come, including updates to Zero Hours Contracts, Statutory Sick Pay, Day 1 Rights, Redundancy and more. Whilst these may not be implemented immediately, with rumours currently suggesting this could be 2 years from now, it’s important to get your head around these early on so you are prepared when they are put into place. Rochelle has outlined everything you need to know; the critical updates, the impact these will have, and highlighted the manifesto promises absent from the bill - https://lnkd.in/eQ7VnG5W

Rumoured Pension updates in the Autumn Budget – Josh Draycott and Jack Farmer share their insights on the potential changes - https://lnkd.in/eDKe3Fnf There has been plenty of speculation around what Labour’s first Budget will look like for pensions. Early suggestions have indicated the introduction of new taxes, changes to reliefs, or limitations when drawing out from your pension pot. Whilst nothing is confirmed, it’s always important to keep your eye on any developments that may mean altering your retirement planning, to put your future in the best position. But how exactly can we prepare for this? Josh, Tax Manager, and Jack, Chartered Financial Planner from our partners at Wealth Experts, sat down together to let us know what they expect to come from the Budget - https://lnkd.in/eDKe3Fnf

What do Beck, Manic Street Preachers, Placebo, and Tame Impala have in common with DJH? We've all appeared on stage at the famous Albert Hall in Manchester! While Chris, David and Sue may not have performed, they are rockstars in their own right as they accepted DJH's win at the Greater Manchester Chamber, UK Awards for Large Business of the Year.🏆 It was great to meet so many businesses over a celebratory lunch, made even better by taking home the win. A huge congratulations to all other winners and finalists. 👏

Introduction of the Employment Law Bill - Rochelle Murinas explains the key changes you need to know about – https://lnkd.in/esDUPwP5 All the focus might currently be on the Autumn Budget at the end of October but there is a very good chance updates to employment law will take place early this week. Why? Well Labour promised to introduce the Employment Law Bill, describing it as "once-in-a-generation" changes, within their first 100 days in office. Those hundred days would take us up to the end of this week. This Bill is set to focus on areas such as day one rights, fire & rehire, zero-hours contracts and protection for new parents, all of which are due to see major policy shifts. Rochelle Murinas, our HR Director and employment law specialist, has broken down these key changes, so that you can prepare your business and stay ahead of the curve – https://lnkd.in/esDUPwP5

We were delighted to be one of the gold sponsors of today’s Morley 10k 🏃♂️➡️🏃♀️➡️ As it's an event that takes place only a short walk from our Leeds office, you might say some of our team had the home advantage when taking to the course this morning. As sponsors, we were also on hand at the finish line, delivering a sweet treat of Divine Chocolate UK to each finisher 🍫 and helping to give out medals at the end of the race 🏅 Congratulations to all our runners, and thank you to our volunteers, who have all earned their Sunday roast. A big well done to Morley Running Club and Morley Town Council for putting on such a great event too 👏 It caps a week of sporting achievement in Yorkshire, with our team also conquering the Yorkshire Three Peaks last weekend ⛰️⛰️⛰️

On Saturday, our team took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support ⛰️✅ https://lnkd.in/dfrttkFk After an early 5am start, they watched the sunrise from the summit of Ingleborough. The weather stayed on their side for the second peak, Pen-y-Ghent, but the same can’t be said for Whernside, which proved to be a tough finish as the rain started to pour. 🌧️ 24.5 miles and 5,200ft later, everyone completed the challenge in under 12 hours. 👏 They've raised an impressive £12.4k so far, meaning they are so close to their £15k target! If you’d like to show your support for our wonderful walkers, you can still donate here. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dfrttkFk
