Last week, the Paul B Loyd Jr crew bid farewell to Norman Park, a true industry veteran. Although Norman was only with Dolphin for a short time, his legacy in the Oil & Gas industry spans over 40 years, 32 of those with Transocean on the Paul B Loyd Jr rig, including 20 years as OIM. Norman’s last day was marked with a team gathering, cake, and a special fly-by of the helicopter to honour his remarkable career. Roddy Gillies, Rig HSE Advisor, created a touching tribute, perfectly capturing those who worked closely with Norman sentiments: “You’ve certainly paid your dues and done your time, worked many long days without overtime. Now you’ve decided you’re going to retire. No more meetings, Teams calls or having to follow company rules. You’re now the boss of what you want to do, and your retirement plans are all up to you. Enjoy what’s ahead and sometimes reminisce. Because one thing is for sure, you’ll be sadly missed.” From all of us at Dolphin Drilling, we wish Norman the very best in his well-deserved retirement. #Retirement #TeamDolphin Bobby Sword

It will come as no surprise to you that as a drilling contractor, training and competency are always at the top of our agenda. Compliance is at the heart of our industry-leading delivery of safe and efficient drilling operations. Fundamental to our success in this respect is Gayle Reid, our Training and Competence Lead, who is celebrating her fifth anniversary with Dolphin Drilling. With well over a decade’s experience in offshore training and competence, Gayle has spent the past five years successfully rolling out our competency system across the company, working closely with our HR team. This includes a significant focus on workforce training, and Gayle’s people skills shine through when she’s dealing with Team Dolphin on a day-to-day basis to ensure company-wide compliance. “Dealing with people is, of course, a huge part of my job and it’s one that I really enjoy. My job is to make sure Dolphin Drilling is operating at optimum levels of compliance and capability, and building relationships with our workforce, whether I’m onshore or offshore, plays a critical role in making sure we’re at the very top of our game.” “There’s always something new to learn and I love that challenge. In this industry, legislation and guidance are constantly evolving and always with the goal of improved performance and safety – two objectives I am totally committed to!” #WorkAnniversary #TeamRecognition #TeamDolphin

Dolphin Drilling is thrilled to have signed up to the Mental Health In Energy Charter. As passionate advocates for mental health awareness, we are incredibly proud to be part of an initiative that is dedicated to lifting the stigma surrounding mental health in the energy industry. The Charter's aims include: ◼ Laying out fundamental principles for creating a psychologically safe and caring working environment ◼ Setting a minimum standard for mental health care provision ◼ Framing onboarding training for industry leaders ◼ Making the best use of existing tools to develop an improved mental health framework Our first step as a company will be to create a Mental Health and Wellbeing Committee to champion mental health and provide opportunities for staff to educate themselves through e-learning and other initiatives. We’re excited for this to get underway and will be sharing key learnings along the way. Together, we can make a difference and create a healthier, more supportive environment for everyone in the energy industry.
