A Meaningful Week with The Lighthouse Charity 🌟 Over the past week, the Domis Construction team had the privilege of hosting the incredible #MakeItVisible team from The Lighthouse Charity at St Michael’s, Lumina, and Waterhouse Gardens. It was an eye-opening series of sessions focused on emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing in the construction industry. The #MakeItVisible team is dedicated to reaching out to frontline trades across the UK and Ireland, providing free, crucial support services. They’re visiting construction companies, builder’s merchants, hire centres, and sites, delivering engaging 'Toolbox Talks' to raise awareness about the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing. The team also creates a ‘safe space’ around their tour van where workers can have one-on-one conversations, ask questions, and connect with experts in a confidential, supportive environment. We were moved by two powerful personal stories shared during these sessions, and the invaluable work The Lighthouse Charity is doing to provide support. With over 400 operatives in attendance across the three sites, the engagement and openness in the room were inspiring. These discussions are key to breaking down the stigma around mental health, especially within our industry. A big Thankyou to Andy Bishop and Justin Manley. A huge thank you to The Lighthouse Charity for their expertise and unwavering commitment to improving the wellbeing of those in construction and their families. It’s sessions like these that remind us to prioritise our mental and physical health both on and off-site.

Providing Thousands of Young People Somewhere Safe to Go - the SYZ mission statement. Domis are extremely proud to announce the completion of Salford Youth Zone. The team have worked immensely hard to bring this incredible space to life. The state-of-the-art youth zone is packed with amazing features, including: 🏋️ A fully equipped gym 🥊 A dedicated boxing ring 🧗 An amazing climbing wall 🏀 A multi-purpose sports hall 👩🍳 A practice kitchen for young chefs ... and so much more This project is much more than just a building - it offers young people the opportunity to make new friends, develop new skills and unlock their full potential. We are so pleased to hand this building over to the incredible Onside team. A big well done to our Domis team that have made this happen 👏 SYZ Salford Youth Zone

We are celebrating Women in Construction Week👷♀️ From on-site to behind the scenes, our incredibly talented women make up a total of 18.% of our team - beating the industry average of 15%! Women bring fresh perspectives, problem-solving skills, and innovation to construction, helping us tackle challenges in smarter ways. We recognise the talent, hard work, and impact of women across the industry. Here are just some of our amazing women - we’re fortunate to have many other talented and hardworking ladies across the business, and we will continue to champion a more equitable and innovative industry—one that is built to last. 👏

There is exciting progress being made on our Lumina Village development! 🏗️ Block A2 Topping out – The first of four concrete frames is now completed! Kone has also started installing lift doors. 🔨 Block A3 Progress – second fix by Complete Wall Solutions is underway on Level 2, while first fix continues up to Level 5. LDG window frames are advancing smoothly to Level 6. 🚪Block A1 Level 2 – First fix boarding is progressing well. 💡Block A4 Developments – Level 5 is prepared for first fix, with Matic (M&E contractors) wrapping up early works. On Level 4, 1st side boarding is nearly done, setting us up well for the next stages.

Waterhouse Gardens - equally impressive by day and by night 😎🌆 Boasting 556 premium apartments, duplexes, and penthouses, Waterhouse Gardens is set to breathe new life into the historic Boddington Brewery site. 💫 Salboy

Brrrr it's been a cold start to the New Year!! 🥶🌨 But the snow and ice make the perfect backdrop for a first sneak peak at our brand-new HQ! With cutting-edge gym facilities, luxurious spa amenities, ice baths, incredible office and kitchen spaces, and a brand new plant and hub distribution centre, we can't wait to share it all with you really soon!

2024 Wrapped 🎁✨ As we take time to look back on the year, we are immensely proud of everything we have achieved in 2024. From breaking ground on new projects to celebrating the completion of others-and even relocating our HQ to an incredible new space in Wigan (stay tuned for the final photos in the New Year!) While it is impossible to capture every moment in one small video, we have put together a glimpse of the highlights that made this year unforgettable. It goes without saying that none of this would be possible without the people around us - our dedicated team, supportive partners and our valued clients.
