We are proud to announce a significant expansion of Ukiyo Japanese Spirits’ European retail presence with listings in two major retailers: Gall & Gall in the Netherlands and EDEKA ZENTRALE Stiftung & Co. KG in Germany. Gall & Gall, a leading liquor store chain in the Netherlands with over 570 locations, will now feature the full Ukiyo Japanese Spirits range: Ukiyo Tokyo Dry Gin, Ukiyo Japanese Blossom Gin, Ukiyo Japanese Yuzu Gin and Ukiyo Japanese Rice Vodka. Additionally, Ukiyo has secured a full range listing with EDEKA North, one of Germany's most prominent retailers, boasting over 600 stores, with both retailers focused on engaging their customers through a diverse product range at accessible prices. We were delighted to partner with The Thin White Duke, the iconic Soho cocktail bar and recording studio, for the August edition of Cocktails In The City. Set in the beautiful Bedford Square Gardens, the talented team at The Thin White Duke served two exquisite Asian-inspired cocktails alongside their unique outdoor music experience: MEJIRO: Ukiyo Japanese Rice Vodka, Akashi Tai Junmai Sake, Luxardo Maraschino, Mancino Sakura Vermouth, and salt-preserved cherry blossom, this cocktail captured the essence of Japanese elegance. TOKI: Ukiyo Tokyo Dry Gin, Ikigai Collection Yuzu and Tomato liqueurs, Select Aperitivo, Everleaf Forest, Briottet Crème d'Abricot, soda, and sherry-infused tomatoes. The TOKI was awarded ‘Best Cocktail’ by a panel of drinks trade experts, including Ruchira Neotia DipWSET, Shannon Tebay, Emma Stokes, Miles Worsfold, Jean Vital, and Harp Mann. At Drinksology Creative (the design division of Drinksology Kirker Greer), we are proud to have been the design partner for The Dead Rabbit since their journey began in the US back in 2012. From their iconic New York venue to their latest spectacular location in Austin, Texas, it has been an incredible 12-year partnership. Working closely with The Dead Rabbit team on the opening of their new Austin venue has been an exciting and rewarding experience. We took great pride in bringing their vision to life, ensuring every detail captured the essence of contemporary Ireland while maintaining the cozy charm of a traditional Irish Pub. Jack McGarry, Managing Director at The Dead Rabbit, had this to say: "We engaged Drinksology Creative for the interior design to integrate the main bar, Taproom, and lobby bar, ensuring our focus on contemporary Ireland aligns with the design. From organic to micro-distillery and ultra‐premium to contemporary, the competition showcases the diversity of the gin category and the high‐quality standards set by producers. Only the best in class are awarded medals, based on appearance, aroma, palate and overall balance - we are thrilled to see Jawbox Export Strength Gin continually ranked so highly among brands from all over the world. They explored how toasting barrels, as opposed to charring them, has taken off in the States in the past 10 years and how the practice has matured.
