Our Animal Studies Centre is officially open! 🐹 Springwatch star Megan McCubbin joined our Chief Executive and Principal, Neil Thomas, alongside key staff to open and welcome everyone into our brand new Animal Studies facility on Saturday. 🤩 This cutting-edge Animal Care and Welfare facility provides a dedicated space for our growing offer in the subject, as well as being the new home to our range of animals, including Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, exotic mammals such as Chinchillas, a range of reptiles and aquatic wildlife. 🐰 Thank you to Megan McCubbin for supporting our grand opening, and for providing such an insightful talk and Q & A to our visitors. 🎥 Exciting Day at Merry Hill! 🎃 Yesterday, ITV's This Morning were filming at Halloween House, located near our Black Country Skills Shop! We’re proud to collaborate with Halloween House through our Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP), which helps learners gain valuable skills and real-world industry experience. 🙌 📸 Pictured: Nathon Kerr, one of our security SWAP graduates who’s now part of the team at Halloween House! Also, pictured are Manjit (Halloween House Manager) and Jane Hickman; a Retail SWAP success story who is now mentoring new recruits at the store. Congratulations are in order for three exceptional Dudley Sixth students—Imogen Hale-Fellows, Tia Jackson, and Shirina Patel—who have achieved remarkable success in their studies for the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFS). 😀 Each of these students received an A grade, placing them in the top 1% of candidates.
