The voices of the Autistic Community are a stark reminder of why articles like the one shared by The Telegraph are exceptionally harmful in their spread of misinformation.
Why is The Telegraph reporting on a study that is: ❌ Not even able to be called scientific research ❌ Received NO ethical approval ❌ Had NO control group ❌ Not peer reviewed ❌ No more than TWO participants and yet is claiming to 'reverse autism'? Our community understandably has a lot to say about that, let's stop repeating history and focus research on what we actually need and have been asking for. Some of the voices on this issues include: Dan Harris FRSA, Carla Ruiz Martínez 🌈♾, Lauren Dawson, PhD., Charlie Kiley Here is an article I have written in response to this issue.

Today marks a momentous occasion for the neurodivergent community, particularly for those with dyspraxia, as the Labour Party secures a victory in the General Election. Among the newly elected MPs, we celebrate the success of Laurence Turner, who has won his seat, and Emma Lewell-Buck, who has successfully retained hers. Both MPs are openly dyspraxic, bringing much-needed representation and awareness to dyspraxia.

Inclusive Arts Practitioner, youth support worker and neurodiversity/access consultant. Founder of Dyspraxic Me.
We are so pleased to announce we have been awarded National Lottery funding from Sports England to deliver regular gym fitness classes (spin classes, yoga…) just for attendees of Dyspraxic Me. As you may know we are a volunteer run charity and would like to make sure we book these sessions for when it would be best for many to attend. The gym is in central London near Tottenham Court Road tube station which has the Central line, Northern line and the Elizabeth line. We have created a survey so we can find out when would be best to run the classes: https://lnkd.in/eqz_hjRz Thanks to everyone who plays National Lottery games for your support!
