A great session today at E-ACT HQ in Birmingham run by Jugjit Chima from the The Exams Office (TEO) The session focused on the summer examination season- providing detailed consideration of the up and coming exams. It has been an invaluable opportunity for our academies to reflect on their plans in advance of the summer exam season opening. The session was attended by a range of our practitioners who are involved in exams including, examination officers, contingent examination officers and SLT members in charge of examinations. A big thank you to Jugjit for delivering such a high quality session to our team. JCQ CIC #exams #KS4 #KS5

💡Empowering Leaders at EVERY level The electric ripple effect from attending yesterday's conference is still happening across E-ACT. We hosted our annual E-ACT Ideas Women in Leadership Conference, bringing together inspiring leaders. 📖👉https://lnkd.in/g3pUZ8fS One of the highlights was the humourous panel discussion led by Sophia Haughton, Headteacher at E-ACT Heartlands Academy, with Keziah, Hilary, and our new Chief People Officer, Susie Babar. The panel shared a lot of truths and humour, making it an entertaining and powerful session that resonated with everyone. A special thanks to our incredible speakers: Hilary Spencer (Ambition Institute), Keziah Featherstone FCCT (WomenEd), Kathryn Birch (SAMpeople), Julie Liddell (Still Human), and Nicola M Barke. Your contributions made the day truly memorable and impactful. We are excited to launch our LeadHERship programme in April 2025, designed to support women at every level - check out E-ACT Learning's page. Stay tuned for more details! #WeAreEACT #womened

💡Leading at EVERY level! We've had a great day at our E-ACT Ideas Women in Leadership Conference, where the theme of "Leading at Every Level" resonated throughout the day. Our speakers inspired us with their insights and experiences, but today, we want to shine a spotlight on our colleagues who stepped out of their comfort zones to lead workshop sessions that are close to their hearts: Sophia Haughton: Tackling Imposter Syndrome. Hannah Rowe: Embracing Imperfect Leadership. Turita Fogg: Exploring Intersectionality in Leadership. Sophie Kayani: Building Meaningful Professional Networks Helen Child FISBL: Utilising Coaching Techniques to manage up and down. Chantelle Shaw: Leading in your area from the very start of your career. We are proud of our leaders for sharing their knowledge and experiences today. #WeAreEACT #WomenInLeadership

😃 Ultimately, what we want our students to be is happy! Congratulations to Sophia Haughton and her team at E-ACT Heartlands Academy for being among the happiest schools in England and Wales. #WeAreEACT
Very proud Headteacher! They say happiness is contagious—and it seems Heartlands Academy is leading the outbreak! According to a recent Sunday Times analysis of Parent View data from Ofsted, 99% of parents agreed that their children were happy at Heartlands Academy, placing it among the happiest schools in England and Wales coming in second and in top place for non selective schools 😁 Congratulations to the entire Heartlands community for creating a place where happiness and learning go hand in hand! This emphasises the importance of creating a sense of belonging

💡 Today we are hosting our E-ACT Ideas Women in Leadership Conference. We are looking forward to seeing you all! You are in for a treat with our fantastic speakers. WomenEd Keziah Featherstone FCCT #WeAreEACT #womened
This is my Grandma and my daughter. Neither have titles or a following (though I question that with my daughter) - but they are undoubtably leaders. I'm really looking forward to the E-ACT Women in Leadership conference tomorrow - where we explore what true leadership at every level looks like, and we think about the women in our own lives (including ourselves) that display these traits. Leadership isn’t about job titles—it’s about actions. Some of the most influential people in any organisation don’t sit at the top; they lead from wherever they are. So what are the traits of true leadership, and how do a Grandma (Thelma) and a five year old (Esmé ) embody these? 🔹 Ownership – Esmé doesn't wait for permission to solve problems. If she cannot open something she rips it, if she cannot reach something, she climbs it. 🔹 Consistency – Thelma shows up every day - she lives in the North East (it’s cold!) and walks to the beach every day. She is 87. She does this through rain, through grief and through a hip replacement. She shows up for herself and others. 🔹 Adaptability – Change is constant. Life is unexpected at 5 and 87 - though admittedly for different reasons, both embrace challenges, and find solutions when things don’t go as planned. 🔹 Empowering Others – Leadership isn’t about personal success; it’s about lifting others. Thelma shares knowledge freely, offer support, and celebrates the wins of others. Esmé cheers the tiny things and loves fiercely, regardless of how my day was, or what I'm wearing or if I made a terrible meal. (Essentially any non beige food). 🔹 Strong Communication – Esmé has this nailed at 5 - she knows what she wants and asks for it. There is no worry that she wont get it (a later bedtime) and will fight hard for what she believes in. No matter where you are in your career, these traits will support you to thrive. Leadership isn’t about waiting for a title—it’s about the impact you create every day. I can't wait for the conference tomorrow to learn more from the fantastic speakers and delegates. See you soon! E-ACT Crest Academy focuses on their secondary students but understands the importance of connecting primary students to their academy, helping them feel confident about secondary school. ❗Please note, Mr. Edwards' outfit was for World Book Day; he doesn't dress like that every day (well, maybe occasionally!).
At Crest Academy, we share a joint vision with Braintcroft Academy—Success in everything we do. It was amazing to see both our schools living out our mantra today, celebrating World Book Day together with creativity, passion, and a love for reading! 📚✨ #WorldBookDay #CrestAcademy #SuccessInEverything E-ACT Crest Academy Andrea Rosewell MA, NPQH Haydn Kilyan Sikhu Ngwenya Akeem Edwards Arlethra H
