About us

The Early Years Alliance, formerly the Pre-school Learning Alliance, is the largest and most representative early years membership organisation in England. We support early years providers to deliver quality, affordable and sustainable care and learning to families, and work to ensure that all children, regardless of background, are given the best possible start in life. The Alliance’s vision is a society where every child enjoys the same opportunity to learn through play. We believe families should be at the centre of policy-making and parents empowered to become more involved with their child’s learning and development.

Alliance director of communications and external affairs Shannon Pite has written in Mumsnet on the current pressures on early years providers and why recent policy changes are likely to make things worse, not better, for parents.
