The government recently confirmed that the changes to VAT on independent school fees are applicable to all independent schools in England, Wales, and Scotland. The full details of the changes and an impact assessment will be published by the government as part of the Autumn Budget on 30 October 2024. The changes are due to come into force on 1st January 2025. To ensure schools are registered on time, HMRC is providing additional resources prior to the implementation date and running support sessions directly with schools. For more information visit: https://lnkd.in/ecuUkq3M We will provide a further update on what this means for independent schools once the Chancellor has delivered the Autumn Budget on 30th October.
