We applaud the growing dialogue on modern slavery in the solar industry and want to be upfront about our stance on this issue. Reports from Sheffield Hallam University and others highlight critical concerns about solar panel production and raw material sourcing, which the industry must address collectively. While the surge in demand for solar power is crucial for achieving carbon neutrality, Eco2Solar was built on ethical and sustainable principles. We have a responsibility to our customers, employees, and suppliers to be the gold standard, ensuring that our practices (and those throughout our supply chain) are ethical, safe, and fair.

Think Solar Power is ‘modern technology’? Think again! 🤯 #Didyouknow that the first ‘solar collector cell’ was designed and constructed in 1767 by Swiss scientist Horace-Benedict de Saussure? He constructed an insulated box with an opening and three layers of glass, magnifying the sun’s heat to temperatures in excess of 230 degrees Fahrenheit! Although it wasn’t until the late 1800’s that the ‘photovoltaic effect’ was defined and the first solid state photovoltaic cell was created. Last week we attended the annual Barratt Supply Chain Charity Dinner at The ICC Birmingham and this year it was 80’s themed!
