Our 2024 Climate Gap Report was released last week with Ecology Building Society Our annual report looks at the UK's climate targets and what the gap is between where we are currently, where we need to be and what we need to do to address it. Our report is broken down into 4 areas: food, heating, transport and consumer goods. In this year's report, some of the key findings were: - Against all odds, some progress is being made, such as more companies reporting emissions going down. - The UK's targets are not going far enough, and need revising. - Poor data quality in this area is increasingly of concern, with some of the most recent data from some organisations being as old as 2022. Political action also remains important, we recommend a number of great organisations for people to support to help with the UK climate targets such as Zero Hour, The Vegan Society, Extinction Rebellion UK, WRAP, Stop Funding Heat, Friends of the Earth, Wellbeing Economy Alliance - WEAll and many more.
