We’ve had a great day today in Manchester, at HyNet’s annual conference: Making the Region Proud. Special thanks to our EET Fuels apprentices Eden Cooper and Dan Aron, pictured with our Head of Learning, Development and Talent Management, Louise Dean CIPD, and on stage as they opened today’s event. Eden and Dan not only showcased their roles in the North West’s energy transition but the early careers available right here in the North West. Thank you to everyone at HyNet and all of today’s collaborators for making this such an inspiring and successful event. #transformingfortomorrow #apprentices #futuretalent #earlycareers #futureleaders #IndustrialDecarbonisation #EET #HyNet #conference #NorthWest #hydrogen #proud

We’re really looking forward to HyNet’s annual conference: Making the Region Proud, in Manchester tomorrow. The event explores the potential of HyNet and its collaborators and takes a deep dive into the opportunities it brings to the North West. As a central pillar of HyNet, with an investment pipeline of US$3bn, EET is at the forefront of the UK’s decarbonisation’s goals, redefining energy to create a lower carbon future. We’re delighted that EET Fuels’ apprentices Eden Cooper and Dan Aron, will be sharing their journeys and updating on EET Fuels’ plans to deliver the world's first low carbon process refinery, as they help open tomorrow’s event. Joe Seifert, CEO of EET Hydrogen, will follow them for EET, as he discusses EET Hydrogen's vision to become the UK's premier producer of low carbon hydrogen, in the ‘Putting the North West and North Wales on the Decarbonisation Map’ panel. In the afternoon, Rob Wallace, CEO of EET Hydrogen Power, will be taking to the stage to discuss the plans for EET’s power project to develop Europe's first hydrogen-ready power plant, in the ‘Building a hub of low carbon power’ discussion. Rounding off the day for EET, is Marta Csibra, head of strategy and business development for EET Hydrogen. Marta will be part of the ‘Supercharging the region’s hydrogen economy’ discussion. #RedefiningEnergy #HyNet #conference #NorthWest #EET #EETFuels #EETHydrogen #EETHydrogenPower #IndustrialDecarbonisation #hydrogen #power #proud #investment #economy

Today, on International Women’s Day, we want to celebrate and highlight some of the women that are working on our turnaround event. Alongside all the activity on site at Stanlow and Tranmere, there are teams of people delivering behind the scenes. Two colleagues from our procurement team, Katie McLaughlin and Gemma Dicken, have shared what it’s like to be in one of those teams. Katie said: “My team deliver infrastructure services for the turnaround, including our fleet, IT infrastructure, logistics, accommodation, and so much more. We manage relationships, risks, and costs, whilst simultaneously delivering a safe environment for everyone working on site.” Gemma shares: “As a category specialist, my role starts many months before the event begins on site. There are many suppliers to manage and coordinate to ensure that we have what we need to be able to carry out the work. For example, we have needed over 60 cranes for this turnaround. It's great to see everything come together once the event starts.” #WomenInEnergy #IWD2025 #PerformingToday #TransformingForTomorrow EET

Today, on International Women’s Day, we want to celebrate and highlight some of the women that are working on our turnaround event. Two graduates, Anie George and Isabel Millican, have shared what it is like to be working on their first turnaround. Anie said: “I’ve been at EET Fuels for five months and I’m already involved in the turnaround. I am a coordinator on the cracker unit, and I have been observing and supporting with the process, inspections, and refractory work installations in major equipment.” Isabel adds: "During the turnaround, I have continued with my role as a process technologist, carrying out opportunistic maintenance to assure the unit through to the next major turnaround. A turnaround is very different from the day-to-day role, with different hours, office location and daily tasks. As a graduate, it has been a fantastic learning opportunity." This week, we installed two cutting-edge Texas Tower heat exchangers at Stanlow. These units will recover energy on our Platformer unit, leading to significant fuel savings and reduced CO2 emissions. A major step towards a future focused on sustainability. We would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the teams involved who have made these massive operations run so smoothly! #Innovation #Sustainability #EnergyEfficiency #EngineeringExcellence #StanlowInnovation

EET is a leading player in the decarbonisation of the UK economy and is transforming its Stanlow Manufacturing Complex into one of Europe’s largest energy transition hubs. To do this successfully, having a skilled workforce covering a huge spectrum of competencies specific to our industry is paramount. That’s why we place so much importance on learning and development and why our apprentice programme is so vital to have the skill sets our business needs now and in future. Jo-Anne D., our learning & talent development manager, said: "Apprenticeships offer an opportunity to learn on the job with highly skilled professionals, working alongside other like-minded apprentices – if you think you have what it takes, get in touch.” #NAW2025 #SkillsForLife #apprentices #apprenticeships #performingtoday #transformingfortomorrow
