Huge Congratulations to our very own Oliver Orme on successfully completing his Experienced Forklift Operations course with Forge Group Training Services. Oliver has been with us at Elite since he left college, and has stacked up an array of qualifications that will assist him in his career progression with Elite. This latest qualification will help Oliver in his management of our stores and deliveries, and also with the operations of our sister company Elite Sealants. Well done Oliver!

The law on Sexual Harassment is changing on the 26th October 2024. By law all employers will need to take steps to prevent sexual harassment. These steps include: · remove/reduce risks of sexual harassment to make sure the workplace is safe · offer support to anyone involved in a sexual harassment complaint · make it clear to everyone who works for the Company, or uses their services, that they will not tolerate sexual harassment · train everyone who works for them on recognising sexual harassment and encourage them to report it · consider having a policy on sexual harassment Our management team have undertaken the relevant training, delivered by Robert Fisher Strategi Solutions and we are now currently implementing this across the Company and incorporating a new policy, in consultation with our employees. Our aim is to continue to promote an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect.

Another Electric Vehicle added to our Fleet! Electric vehicles have many benefits, including: · Being better for our planet · No congestion charge · Lower running costs · Reduced noise pollution · Increased resale value As a business we are always looking for ways to be both more environmentally friendly and reduce our costs. We have been gradually moving our Company Cars over to electric and this month has been no exception with our Managing Director Andrew Orme collecting his new Kia EV9. Andrew said “As a business we are continually looking at ways to innovate and continuing to use electric cars is the way forward. We will also use the energy generated by our solar panels to charge them. It’s a win-win situation for us.”
