What an experience to present in front of a packed audience alongside a stellar lineup of speakers! It felt fantastic to shake off the cobwebs and dive back into public speaking - my first time in almost 6 months! So, what did we learn? I shared insights into our groundbreaking digital retrofit solution, Senze ✔️ Delivers greater accuracy than conventional paper-based assessments - all at a similar cost! 💰 Cuts upfront investment for portfolio-wide decarbonisation projects. 🎯 Puts money where it matters, spotting underperforming assets and avoiding mis-specifications. 📈 Boosts investment reach across retrofit projects by at least 25%! ⚒️ Creates a “de-skilled” assessment process that can be scaled across tens of thousands of buildings. 💡 Delivers superior outcomes for those who need it most! But — the ArcLive team weren’t just here for FII, but to setup a manufacturing HQ here for GPUs and our sensors— exciting! So, as the week draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the growth here. With Saudi’s #Vision2030, and their willingness to collab, there’s no doubt it’s the No.1 growth hub of 2024. I had the pleasure of joining the Lord Mayor & Lady Mayoress for dinner last week. But we discussed something very important; Diversity. Yet something we often forget; it isn’t just gender; or race → But also age ← And from my own experiences, I’ve experienced the difficulty it takes to be HEARD and taken seriously as a young person. Creating the inpiration behind ELIXR’s Gen-Z Advisory Board. And for various other boards I’m involved with. Because it starts with US. So, that was the takeaway from a dinner of 15 guests at Mansion House this week 🤍

Why has New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) (The US largest Landlord with almost 200,000 Assets) committed $78billion through its PACT Programme. And what does live digital twins mean to such as massive problem? The answer… homes that can provide healthier living, reduced carbon impact and economic savings both for the retrofit and for the bill payer. Myself and Tom Fenton went with our Senze and ArcLive partnership and installed our first project in the USA and it’s not everyday a start up (suppose we are a scale up now 😅)has a product that it’s first US launch is the US largest social homes provider. So why is this the first partner…well the simple answer is digital twins and data impacts pockets and lives in a way other technology offerings simply can’t. What was crazy is the homes we installed our tech in were so similar to those I lived in growing up. Densely packed, run down, expensive to operate homes that clearly impact the health of anyone who has to live in one. It baffles me when growing up in similar style buildings how our most at risk pay the biggest cost in society. Living in poor conditions, cost to living ratio for bills off the chart and sitting in homes that impact our life span aswell as adding a cost to our medical systems huge sums over a lifetime. So what could healthier, low carbon, cheaper to run homes with de skilled smart technology mean to the USA Economy. $55billion Annually from health savings due to reduced mould risk and air quality in homes! 500million Tonnes of Co2 through decarbonisation retrofitting! $200billion annually from reduced energy bills for those most at risk! People talk about Social Impact We talk about decarbonisation We pay the earth for our health systems Well…..the solution has landed! Love to my partners David Partridge and the ArcLive team. On stage for my United Nations Panel! 🇺🇳 I even spoke about something entirely new; - Migrants in the context of Urbanisation - Economic & Social Issues - Youth Engagement An incredibly important topic with some powerful stories. And I even got to speak some Spanish! (For those of you who DON’T know, I’m half Colombian) I would say my key takeaway from the session was: That technology can empower migrant youth, creating opportunities which can transform communities. 📍Querétaro, Mexico

Tech = Innovation = Improved Systems; But where do we even begin? Well, if we’re talking about smart cities; ✨Digital Twins.✨ Why? — “A digital twin is a data-led digital copy of something which exists in the real world” Its purpose is to simulate and ‘test’ what could be done in the real world, with reduced risk. I.e. → a brick falling on a trainee construction workers head. I.e. → a new medical procedure which needs testing. There’s little to no risk in a virtual environment. So what’s next??

That's a Wrap, NY!  See you next week.  Climate week in NY was a lot! Definitely lots of talking but also an opportunity in a market that’s looking for decarbonisation. We showcased two of our scale-ups (no longer just startups) and let’s just say there was some significant interest. Data-driven tech that saves time, money and carbon has a huge place in such a monster of a market. Senze and ArcLive play a beautiful role in renovation, rejuvenation and decarbonisation. The eco system is firmly setting its stance for USA expansion and yes I’m heading back next week with my co-founders from ELIXR, Catalina Valentino 🔥, and Senze's Tom Fenton to launch a major pilot program showing local results for time, money and carbon savings whilst ArcLive unlocks new revenue generating streams yet to be tapped. This trip though we are bringing Danyl Goodall to shoot our first documentary. Produced by ELIXR on behalf of Senze and ArcLive to tell the story of how this tech eco system will impact lives. Oh I do love a doco, remember that Barclays life doc that won the London film award? Things I've learnt about New York: 1) Capital savings speaks volumes. 2) Things are getting wildly expensive so saving time and money is key.  3) The path to sustainability is incoming, but time and technology will be the defining factor. We sometimes take for granted how sustainably focused the UK and EU are but in such large markets you have to hit more than one touch points. The scale and size of issues in the US are significant compared to the UK but there’s definitely an opportunity for UK tech play a huge role as part of the transition.
