On Saturday, Elmhurst’s Technical Director Andrew Parkin was featured on an episode of Channel 4 Dispatches, following a joint investigation with the Daily Mirror and The Times into the Royal Family's finances. Elmhurst was asked to support a segment of this investigation which looked at poor-performing rental properties, using our independent and expert view of EPCs and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES). For Elmhurst, this investigation reinforces the need for the energy performance standards of private rental housing to take a much needed step forward, to ensure that tenants are not living in cold, draughty homes or burdened by excessive fuel bills. Many Air Conditioning Inspection Reports across England and Wales are approaching their renewal dates: https://lnkd.in/ecpcQ7c3 According to government regulation, it is mandatory for all air conditioning systems with effective rated output of more than 12kW to be inspected every 5 years by an an accredited air conditioning energy assessor to make sure it is energy efficient. With initial inspection dates of 4 January 2009 (for systems with an output greater than 250kW) and 4 January 2011 (for systems over 12kW), we are now approaching a critical period for many reports to be renewed. #AirConditioningInspections #AirConditioningInspectors #ACI
