Recent news has revealed an ongoing gender disparity in the UK's tech industry, with women representing only 26% of the tech workforce despite obtaining roughly half of science and engineering degrees. Several strategies should be put place in order to solve this issue, such as hosting coding workshops for women and girls, adapting recruitment practices to attract more women, and providing bursaries and scholarships to support women entering the tech field. Addressing the gender gap in tech is crucial for fostering diversity, innovation, and inclusive product development to meet the needs of a diverse customer base.
