Had an amazing experience working with Armando Raish and Robert Stoutzker at City Air Technologies at the Energy & Environment Alliance Sustainability Symposium. Thank you to these ground-breaking tech founders for providing us with a living wall backdrop that purifies the air naturally. It was truly an honor to work with such innovative minds who have developed a genius solution to accelerate the process of plants purifying the air, no matter the size of the plant pot or living wall. #sustainability #innovation #environment #cleanair

What an event! The Energy & Environment Alliance (EEA) Sustainability Symposium was today packed full of education and tips to enable hospitality business leaders to focus on the ‘how’ and address what needs to be done to future-proof their organisations in the emerging economic, environmental, social and governance landscape. Some soundbites from the day include: ➡ ‘Stop hiding behind data and start to embrace it’ ➡ ‘It’s about mindset towards data’ ➡ ‘The hospitality industry needs to report decision useful data’ ➡ ‘Accounting is the language of business’ ➡ ‘Businesses need quality financial-grade, auditable ESG & CO2e data that can be linked to the P&L, so that it can drive cost savings and demonstrate return on investment’ Thank you to everyone who participated in the panel discussions regarding ESG planning for success of business and investment. What word first comes to mind when you think of ESG? That was one of the questions posed by Dr Marc Lepere at today’s Energy & Environment Alliance symposium. A photo of the “word cloud” showing the audience’s responses is below. Another thought provoking event, particularly for those of us working in Real Estate, which (according to McKinsey) is responsible for 39% of global emissions. Lots of opportunity to make a difference particularly when it comes to sustainable construction! At Addleshaw Goddard we are advising numerous clients in this area - so please do reach out if you want to discuss. My colleagues Josh Gibbons, David Alfrey and I would be delighted to help! Thanks to Ufi Ibrahim, Nadia Milligan and the rest of the EEA team for organising another fantastic event - and for the invite! #hotels #esg #environment #sustainability

Legislation is in now place to deliver the EU’s target of a net domestic reduction of greenhouse gas emissions of at least 55% by 2030. Achieving this transition requires businesses in our industry to make informed decisions on emissions reductions and investments in on-site renewable energy solutions. That's why we're excited to announce that Bmstr. Ing. Herbert Hetzel at beyond carbon energy will be speaking at the EEA Sustainability Symposium. Don't miss out on the opportunity to learn from a leading expert in the field! #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #GreenhouseGasEmissions #ClimateAction #sustainablehotels #hotels #hospitalityindustry #servicedapartments #aparthotel
