Our water management colleagues at HIDROMOD, LDA recently participated in a collaborative industry meeting for the Black Sea RESPONSE initiative. RESPONSE is a project aiming to monitor, manage and mitigate risk of marine pollution, with a focus on conflict-induced pollution. 👋Meet Yuriy! Senior Marine Surveyor at #ABLDubai, Yuriy splits his time between offshore surveys and desk-based analysis, ensuring vessels operate safely and efficiently. Whether assessing damage on-site or developing technical procedures, he's always focused on delivering the best solutions. His fascination with #marineengineering and the ocean's role in global trade led him to this industry and his passion continues to grow. Right now, he's working on a long-term lay-up procedure for a vessel, a project that combines his experience with new learning opportunities. Yuriy sees #sustainability as the driving forces behind the UAE's maritime future and If there's one thing he'd change about the industry? A stronger push for digitalisation to improve real-time decision-making. 💬 "There is a clear drive towards green shipping, renewable energy projects, and environmentally friendly maritime technologies. Congratulations to Marine Engineering Surveyor, Harys Harland, from ABL Indonesia, on recently becoming a Tier 1 Certified #DynamicPositioning (DP) surveyor. A former Chief Engineer and a highly experienced marine assurance professional, Harys brings a wealth of experience in vessel operations, dynamic positioning, and offshore safety. His achievement marks a significant milestone for ABL's global DP team, as he becomes the first Indonesian DP surveyor for ABL Jakarta, enhancing our ability to support clients locally with our global DP assurance and technical expertise. To mark the occasion, Harys even shared with us this great #SurveyorSnapshot from his final supervised DP trial, alongside Regional Critical Systems and DP Director for ABL in Asia Pacific, ALESSIO LOMBARDI. 📈 In 2024 alone ABL carried out more than 640 projects relating to DP and critical systems worldwide.
