We're delighted to have won ‘Best Group International Advice Firm’ at the Health & Protection Awards 2024! It was another glitzy celebration of industry best practice and high achievement. Laughs came courtesy of the brilliant Kevin Bridges! A huge well done to our international team, led by Penelope Pemberton. Arranging employee benefits across multiple countries is one of the toughest challenges facing industry professionals. So, it's particularly satisfying to be recognised for our expertise in this area. For many companies, it would be unthinkable to manage employee benefits without a dedicated platform in place. Yet, some HR directors and people leaders have found the technology itself to be an administrative burden. This really shouldn't be the case! So, we’ve quizzed some of the leading minds at Zest about the evolution of the technology and how it can benefit employers and staff alike. ➡ How much have employee benefits platforms evolved over the last 5 years? ➡ What does the future hold for the technology? ➡ What current usage trends are you observing? We ask all these questions and a lot more. See link to full Q&A in comments below. A big thank you to Graham Meinke, Rob Perkins and Joy Waugh for sharing their insights. #EmployeeBenefitsPlatforms #HRTools #EmployeeBenefits #StaffRewards

Many businesses are facing rising renewal costs on their health insurance policies. There are three main reasons for this: ➡ Health insurance payouts hit a record of nearly £3bn in 2022, according to the ABI (and is expected to rise further) ➡ Rising medical inflation, which includes the cost of operating medical facilities (increased rent and staff pay, for example) ➡ Increased investment in new technologies and treatments, such as new drugs and diagnostic testing Is there anything businesses can do? Our latest blog post explains the renewal process and reveals what businesses can do to potentially lower price hikes. Our very own Penelope Pemberton recently joined a House of Lords roundtable to discuss the latest trends, opportunities and challenges in International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI). The general consensus? Employer needs are becoming ever more complex as they take advantage of the opportunity to hire from a global talent pool or launch business units abroad. And it’s the job of brokers and insurers to make healthcare solutions as effective and accessible as they can possibly be. Penny raised the issue of how national healthcare systems can vary in quality in different parts of the world: “You’ve got the local healthcare systems in many parts of the world failing so obviously people are therefore looking for more top-up solutions, better equity of benefits across the world, and more simplicity as well.” “HR teams don’t have a lot of time on their hands so they desperately need to get some sort of simple solution covering multiple locations as much as possible…” Read Health & Protection's full round-up in the comments ⬇ #IPMI #HealthInsurance
