The EPIC Restart Foundation supports people to rebuild a positive life after gambling harm.

About us

The EPIC Restart Foundation is a UK charity providing practical support to empower those recovering from a gambling disorder to positively restart their lives. Gambling addiction devastates lives, and many people struggle to establish or sustain a positive recovery. Poor mental health, depression and anxiety as well as isolation, stigma and lack of confidence all increase the risk of relapse. We believe it is essential to break the cycle of gambling harm and repeated relapse. Our pioneering approach brings together treatment providers, experts in coaching and recovery, and those with lived experience of gambling harm to offer transformational, person-centred support. We offer life changing events, personal development workshops and intensive lived experience mentoring and coaching that inspires and empowers individuals to take action to rebuild their own lives – with the confidence to take personal responsibility for their onward journey of recovery. “The single best thing I have ever done for myself. I have a renewed sense of power over my life, my mindset, and my goals. A genuinely life changing experience.” 2021 Delegate

Day 2 in Nottingham with the EPIC Restart Foundation brilliant workshop - Building Better Lives - hosted by the incredible (and very funny!) Brad Waldron This foundation truly is incredible. I've had the pleasure of speaking to many of the attendees here since yesterday (all in recovery) and they all speak so so highly of EPIC and the support they have received on their recovery journey. I have seen gambling addiction literally take EVERYTHING from some people very close to me and it's heartbreaking. Luckily, there is fantastic support out there and I'm so grateful to be a part of the EPIC team and witness the magic for myself as lives are transformed!

Rebuilding your life after gambling harm is never easy, but it is possible. We recognise that, just like life, recovery is far from straight forward. By providing support beyond initial treatment, we can make sure that people have the skills to get through tough times and even relapses. We offer guidance, a community and the opportunity to be heard - whatever people need, so they know they aren't doing this alone. https://lnkd.in/eMAisQmg #RecoveryMonth #GamblingHarm #Recovery

  • Who are we?.. 🤔 It's a good question! We are an independent UK charity dedicated to helping people overcome gambling harm and rebuild positive lives. We were founded by EPIC Global Solutions in 2020. Many members of the EPIC Global Solutions team, including CEO Paul B., have personal experience with gambling harm. Their passion for helping others inspired the creation of the EPIC Restart Foundation and we are proud to remain part of the EPIC family. We offer free access to incredible events, an online community, and recovery coaching through our amazing team, who draw on their own experiences with gambling harm to support others. We are driven by the belief that everyone should have access to the support needed to overcome the devastating impact of gambling harm. • Feeling alone and isolated is one of the biggest barriers people face when trying to sustain recovery and rebuild a positive life.  Our programmes were born out of lived experience of gambling harm and we continue to listen and explore new ways to connect and support people through their recovery. We currently offer people free access to our supportive online community, group and one to one coaching, as well as life changing experiences through our events.  No one should have to this alone.  Listen to the full episode of The Recovery Toolkit Podcast with Stacey Goodwin  and many other brilliant guests, you can find the link in our comments. #RecoveryJourney #EndTheStigma #AddictionRecovery #SupportSystem #TheRecoveryToolkitPodcast

  • This September, we are honouring #RecoveryMonth by highlighting the experiences of people who are building on their recovery each day, navigating the lows and celebrating the highs. There is a lot of shame and stigma associated with gambling addiction and the harm it can cause. It leaves many people feeling isolated and trapped in a cycle that’s hard to break. But long-term recovery is possible, and no one should ever have to face it alone. As an organisation, we are committed to creating a society where everyone can access long-term support and rebuild a positive life after gambling harm. We pride ourselves on providing people with free life-changing and accessible support through our programmes. This includes Woman. Empowered, which was born out of lived experience and provides a safe and accessible space for women to support each other, combat social isolation and overcome the stigma they face from society. This quote was provided by someone being supported by EPIC Restart Foundation, through our Woman. Empowered programme.
