About us
Based in West London, ESDEG is a grassroots charity dedicated to empowerment within disadvantaged local communities through education and wellbeing. ESDEG provides an array of services covering education, training and skills development as well as mental health, cost of living and physical wellbeing support in order to promote inclusion, integration and to secure a shared sustainable future for all. A registered charity founded in 2005, with a proven track record, ESDEG continues to expand its services and strengthen its vital support network with schools, local families and young people. Our Vision: To break the poverty cycle and ensure equity and inclusion for all those from disadvantaged backgrounds especially within the global majority. Our Mission: To commit to improving the quality of education for disadvantaged children through multi-level support in order to further equality, social justice, social mobility and community cohesion. Through advocacy on behalf of our community, we work alongside local councils, school authorities, community leaders and local families to challenge the barriers that prevent potential from being realised and subsequently stops communities from truly thriving. Our Aims: - To provide a trusted reliable service for the local community - To promote strong work ethic as a key tool to break the poverty cycle - To support educational achievement of young people - To develop good parenting skills and strong role models - To foster integration while maintaining cultural identity - To respect the diverse needs of service users - To encourage self-esteem and build lasting confidence across the board - To remove the stigma from mental health issues - To create a safety-net for the most at risk - To raise awareness of existing support pathways and help navigate their complexities - To advocate equal opportunity and fairness - To maintain transparency and accountability with all stakeholders
