SATURDAY 22 MARCH It’s time for our very own Farnham Super Saturday. We start with the 2nd XV kicking off at 1pm vs Chobham RFC in their search for back to back league titles in the Surrey Championship. This is followed by ‘the people’s first team’ Warriors kicking off at 2pm vs Cranleigh RFC in what promises to be a cracker. Then finally the 1st XV kick off at 3pm against Chobham in a bid to seal the league title. There are 160 booked in for the 50th Anniversary lunch which this week focuses on Women’s, Touch and Escargots. A huge crowd is expected. There will be a band in the Clubhouse after the matches conclude. What a way to finish an amazing season for all teams at Fortress Farnham - not to be missed! #farnham #rugby #50thAnniversary

A great friendly community Rugby Club with teams for Men, Women, Academy, Junior boys & girls, Minis and Touch
About us
Formed in 1975 Farnham RUFC is still a relatively young club but has achieved much in that time. The Club currently fields 5 Senior Men's teams, one of which is a veterans team, each Saturday. It also has two Senior Women's teams the 'Falcons' playing league rugby & teams at U18,16,14 &12. There is a huge Mini Section comprising teams at all age levels from U5 upwards and sides at all levels in the Junior ranks culminating in the ‘The Academy’ with over 60 players. For those who still want to develop rugby skills, but without the contact, there is a Touch Rugby section which has grown steadily year on year and offers an opportunity for almost anyone in the local community to get a rugby ball in their hands and join in with the fun. The Club has a friendly family atmosphere club and is “Home” club to Jonny Wilkinson, Peter Richards & Ryan Wilson. The Club was originally limited by the facilities which prompted the plan to move to the other side of Farnham with a started in 2000 and took 12 years of hard work and £2M of investment. The new facility was opened by Lord Coe in 2012. The facilities enjoyed by the Club are outstanding with an International sized pitch, 3 other senior pitches, two of which are floodlit, and other training paddocks. The Clubhouse itself is a light modern venue perfect for Corporate Events, Wedding Receptions, Christenings, Dinner/Dances etc. Full Audio Visual Facilities are available & 2 huge screens enables viewing of 6 Nations, Autumn Internationals and other competitions throughout the year. There is a large bar area and a fully equipped kitchen. Matches may be viewed from the balcony area overlooking the main pitch. The latest development is a Rehab and Fitness Centre aka 'The Shed' open to players & members in support of the Club’s quest to provide the best rugby experience it can. The modern game produces its fair of injuries and the Club is determined to do what it can to get injured players back on to the pitch.

6 NATIONS FINAL WEEKEND – SATURDAY 15 MARCH An absolute feast of Rugby coming up tomorrow with the final matches of the year’s 6Nations being played. The three matches will be shown live at Farnham Rugby Club. The first game kicks off when Italy travel to Dublin with Ireland seeking to put their game to rights after the drubbing by France. A bonus point win should see then lift the 6Nations Trophy. England will be attempting to avoid the “banana skin” which is the Millenium Stadium with the roof closed. Will Henry Pollock have the opportunity to lay down his marker? Finally France entertain Scotland in Paris for another potential try fest of a game with both sides having a point to prove. Farnham Rugby Club is a great venue to view the Rugby with giant screens, great beer, food available from the kitchen and a tremendous atmosphere. You don’t have to be member to watch the Rugby. No entrance fee just turn up and grab a beer and a burger. If you want a warm up to the main event why not tune into final games of the Under20 Six nations with England on the verge of a “Grand Slam”.
