Sharing stories & celebrating talent of women in motorsport from those racing to those working behind the scenes.

About us

A volunteer-run platform. From global racing stars and TV presenters to mechanics and wind tunnel technicians, we at Females in Motorsport aim to share as many stories from those working in the industry. We started out as just a small idea in our bedrooms and now we have reached over 25 million people across our articles and social media platforms. Now, we still are a group of girls working from our bedrooms, but we are even more determined to spread the inspiring anecdotes from those we are fortunate enough to chat with. Alongside our interviews and blog posts, we strive to showcase up-and-coming drivers who are taking their first steps on the motorsport ladder. We are also committed to bringing updates from the motorsport paddock and providing a platform for you to check series results via our social media channels. We have a passion and we want to share it with you!

Meet Vicki Wood: "The Fastest Woman in Racing" 🏎️💨 Though she never competed in a Cup Series race, Wood made her name known as the trailblazer who set speed records around Daytona Beach. In the February 1955 NASCAR time trials, Wood finished third out of thirty-four drivers. Her average time of 125.838 mph saw her dubbed as the "Lady Speedster" 🌟 Four years later, NASCAR founder and chairman William HG France personally invited Wood to the newly opened Daytona International Speedway. There, she set a female speed record of over 130 mph in a 1959 Pontiac! Vicki Wood's impressive career continues to inspire, proving that her legacy and records transcend both the track and the test of time 👑 📸: Getty Images #WomenInMotorsport #NASCAR
